General elections were held in Dominica in July 1925. [1] They were the first after the reintroduction of elected members to the Legislative Council for the first time since 1898.
The reformed Legislative Council had 13 members, with the Administrator as President, six 'official' members (civil servants), four elected members and two appointed members. Candidacy for the elected seats was limited to people with an annual income of at least £200 or owning property valued at £500 or more. [2]

The appointed members were J.R.H. Bridgewater and Laughlan Rose. Rose resigned on 27 March 1926 and was replaced by Henry Harry Vivian Whitchurch. [4]

Members of the New South Wales Legislative Council who served in the 57th Parliament were elected at the 2015 and 2019 elections. As members serve eight-year terms, half of the Council was elected in 2015 and did not face re-election in 2019, and the members elected in 2019 will not face re-election until 2027. The President was John Ajaka until March 2021 and then Matthew Mason-Cox from May 2021.
The Virginia Beach City Council is the legislative branch that governs the City of Virginia Beach and its more than 450,000 citizens. It has 11 members that serve four-year terms and are elected on a staggered basis. General elections are held the Tuesday following the first Monday in November in even-numbered years. All registered voters are eligible to vote for all members of City Council. Three Council Members and the Mayor serve "At Large" with no district residency requirement. All other Council Members are required to live in the districts they represent: Bayside, Beach, Centerville, Kempsville, Lynnhaven, Princess Anne, and Rose Hall. The Council holds regular meetings on alternate Tuesday evenings on the second floor of the Virginia Beach City Hall.
