General elections were held in Dominica in April 1937. [1] The elections were the first held under the 1936 constitution, which granted elected members parity with appointed members, although the Administrator retained a casting vote.
The Legislative Council had eleven members; the Administrator as President, two ex officio members, three appointed members and five elected members. [2] The Administrator could vote only to break a tie. [2]

The appointed members were Sydney Green, Frederick Robert Galloway and William James Ross Stebbings. [1]
Garraway resigned on 5 April 1938 and was replaced by Arthur Seagar Burleigh. [1] Napier resigned on 31 December 1939 and a by-election was held on 28 February 1940. [1] Elma Napier was elected, [1] becoming the island's first female MLC.
Elections were due in 1940, but the term of the Council was extended by the Dominica (Legislative Council – Extension of duration) Order in Council 1940 due to World War II.
Green resigned in 1940 and was replaced by I.N. Shillingford. Shillingford subsequently resigned in 1942 and was replaced by Clement Joseph Leonard Dupigny. [1] Stebbings resigned in 1943 and was replaced by James O. Aird. [1]

The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory is the unicameral legislature of Australia’s Northern Territory. The Legislative Assembly has 25 members, each elected in single-member electorates for four-year terms. The voting method for the Assembly is the full-preferential voting system, having previously been optional preferential voting. Elections are on the fourth Saturday in August of the fourth year after the previous election, but can be earlier in the event of a no-confidence vote in the government. The most recent election for the Legislative Assembly was the 2024 election held on 24 August. The next election is scheduled for 26 August 2028.

However the assembly was dissolved after 32 months. Henry Parkes was the premier for the duration of the parliament. The Speaker was William Arnold.
Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly who served in the 11th parliament of New South Wales held their seats from 1882 to 1885. Elections for the eleventh Legislative Assembly were held between 30 November and 21 December 1882 with parliament first meeting on 3 January 1883. The Assembly was expanded to 113 members elected in 40 single member electorates, 26 two member electorates, 3 three member electorate and 3 four member electorates. The parliament had a maximum term of 3 years and was dissolved on 7 October 1885 after 33 months. The Premiers during this parliament were Sir Alexander Stuart until 7 October 1885 and then George Dibbs. The Speaker was Edmund Barton.
Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly who served in the 25th parliament of New South Wales held their seats from 1920 to 1922. They were elected at the 1920 state election on 20 March 1920. The Speaker was Daniel Levy with the exception of 13–20 December 1921 when he was replaced by Simon Hickey.

Woodford Hill is a village in Saint Andrew Parish in north-eastern Dominica. Woodford Hill was an estate extending from Eden River to L’anse Noire. An Amerindian village existed at the mouth of the Woodford Hill river about 1,400 years ago. The present day village of Woodford Hill is on the western boundary of the old estate. It is made up of various sections including Small Farm, Mount Sylvie, Falang, Larieu, Fond Cole, Joe Road, and Big Cedar. According to the 2011 census report, Woodford Hill had a population of 1,034.
