Western Kentucky University is a public university in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It was founded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1906, though its roots reach back a quarter-century earlier. It operates regional campuses in Glasgow, Elizabethtown-Fort Knox, and Owensboro.
Harry G. Gamage was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach the University of Kentucky from 1927 to 1933 and at the University of South Dakota from 1934 to 1941 and again from 1946 to 1955, compiling a career college football record of 114–92–12.
The 1930 Western State Teachers Hilltoppers football team represented Western State Teachers College as an independent during the 1930 college football season. In their second season under head coach Mike Gary, the Hilltoppers compiled a 5–1–1 record and outscored their opponents, 192 to 25. Halfback Clarence Frendt was the team captain.
