Hockeyettan

Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 season, the league consists of 48 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2.

Anders Carlsson Swedish ice hockey player

Anders "Masken" Carlsson is a Swedish retired ice hockey center who played parts of three seasons with the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League and many seasons in the Elitserien for Brynäs IF, Södertälje SK, VIK Västerås HK and Leksands IF. In addition to playing in the 1987 Canada Cup, he represented Sweden six times at the World Championships, winning gold medals in 1987 and 1991, and silver medals in 1986, 1990 and 1997. He is currently an amateur scout for the Colorado Avalanche He is currently General Manager of SHL-team Rögle BK.

Gävle Godtemplares IK is a Swedish sports club, most known for the success the ice hockey team had during the 1950s.

The 2014 season was the 117th season of competitive football in Sweden. The competitive started with the group stage of Svenska Cupen on 1 March. League competition started late March and early April with Allsvenskan on 30 March, Superettan on 6 April, Damallsvenskan on 13 April and Division 1 on 20 April. Svenska Cupen ended with the final on 18 May. Damallsvenskan ended on 19 October, Allsvenskan and Division 1 ended on 1 November, Superettan one day later on 2 November and lower men's leagues on the weekend before. Qualification play-offs were held after the end of league play with the Allsvenskan and Superettan play-offs being held on 6 and 9 November. Svenska Supercupen was held on 9 November and was contested by the winner of Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen. Sweden participated in qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2016.

The 2016 Superettan, part of the 2016 Swedish football season, was the 16th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football league in its current format. The 2016 fixtures were released in December 2015. The season started in April 2016 and ended in November 2016.

The 1946–47 Division 2 season was the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden for that season. 43 teams participated, divided into six groups of six and one group of seven. Group winners Gävle GIK, Leksands IF, IFK Bofors, Västerås SK, Tranebergs IF, Atlas Diesels IF, and Djurgårdens IF advanced to a promotion tournament which resulted in Gävle GIK, Västerås, Traneberg, and Atlas Diesel being promoted to Division 1 for the following season.

The 1947–48 Svenska mästerskapet was the 17th season of Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. The tournament was contested by all Allsvenskan teams and all District Champions, along with invited teams from Division II. 32 teams competed in the tournament. Redbergslids IK were the defending champions, but were defeated by IFK Kristianstad in the final. IFK Kristianstad won their second title. The semifinals and final were played on 20–21 March in Sporthallen in Kristianstad. The final was watched by 1,628 spectators.

The 1949–50 Svenska mästerskapet was the 19th season of Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. The tournament was contested by all Allsvenskan teams and all District Champions, along with invited teams from Division II. 32 teams competed in the tournament. IFK Lidingö were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Västerås HF in the First Round. IK Heim won the title, defeating Örebro SK in the final. The semifinals and final were played on 25–26 March in Örebro. The final was watched by 1,857 spectators.
