The 1966–67 Swedish Division I season was the 23rd season of Swedish Division I. Brynas IF won the league title by defeating Vastra Frolunda IF in the league final, 2 games to none.

Hockeyettan

Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 season, the league consists of 48 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2.

AIK IF icehockey club in Solna, Sweden

Allmänna Idrottsklubben Ishockeyförening, is the ice hockey department of sports club Allmänna Idrottsklubben based in Stockholm, Sweden. Starting in the 2014–15 season, AIK's men's team will play in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden, following a four-year spell in the top flight, the SHL. The women's team competes in Riksserien, the highest division of women's ice hockey. AIK's home games are mainly played at Hovet, which seats 8,050 spectators, though some high-profile games may be played at the Ericsson Globe which has a larger capacity of 13,850.

Guldhjälmen is a Swedish ice hockey award, which is awarded annually to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL)'s most valuable player as decided by a vote of its players.

Kvalserien, also known as Kvalserien till SHL, was the Swedish round-robin ice hockey tournament to qualify for play in the next season of the Swedish Hockey League, Sweden's top-level ice hockey league for men. It was replaced by a playoff round in the 2014–15 season.

Ronald Pettersson ice hockey player

Erik Ronald "Sura-Pelle" Pettersson was a Swedish ice hockey player. He played 252 international games for Sweden between 1955 and 1967, including thirteen World Championships and three Olympic Games. Between 1951 and 1967 Pettersson played for Surahammars IF, Södertälje SK and Västra Frölunda IF. He won the Swedish championship twice, in 1956 with Södertälje and in 1965 with Västra Frölunda. He won Guldpucken in 1959–60 as the most valuable player in Swedish Championship playoffs.

Roger Melin Swedish ice hockey player

Roger Melin is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former player, who has been head coach of Linköping HC of the SHL since 2012. He has also previously coached SHL clubs Brynäs IF, Färjestad BK, Frölunda HC, and AIK, as well as Hammarby IF and Rögle BK in the Swedish second tier league. His playing career included five seasons in the SHL, with AIK, Örebro IK, and Hammarby, as well as several seasons in the second and third tiers with Väsby IK. His brief stint in North America during the 1980–81 and 1981–82 seasons was mostly spent in the CHL, though he also played 3 NHL games with the Minnesota North Stars

The 2010–11 Elitserien season was the 36th season of Elitserien. The regular season ran from 15 September 2010 to 5 March 2011, and the following playoffs ended on 14 April. HV71 won the regular season, scoring the game-winning empty net goal against Södertälje SK in the final round. Färjestads BK won the playoffs and thus became Swedish champions, beating Skellefteå AIK 4–1 in the finals. All of the local derby games between AIK and Djurgårdens IF were played in the Ericsson Globe.

The 2011–12 Elitserien season was the 37th season of Elitserien. The regular season began on 13 September 2011 and ended on 6 March 2012. The following playoffs began on 10 March 2012 and ended on 19 April. Färjestad BK were the defending Swedish Champions. Brynäs IF won their first Swedish Championship title since 1999, as well as their 13th in history, after defeating Skellefteå AIK in six games.

The Swedish Ice Hockey Coach of the Year has been awarded to the best ice hockey coach in Sweden each season since the 1991–92 season. The award was created in honor of Arne Strömberg, and Kamratföreningen Hockeyjournalisterna is the jury which votes on the award. The award has usually gone to a coach in the top-tier league (SHL/Elitserien), although the award is not specific to the top-tier league. Three coaches have won the award twice: Tommy Sandlin in 1991–92 and 1992–93 as head coach of Brynäs IF, Hardy Nilsson in 1999–00 and 2009–10 as coach of Djurgårdens IF, and Roger Melin in 1998–99 and 2010–11 as head coach of Brynäs IF and AIK.

The J18 Elit is the highest level of under-18 ice hockey in Sweden. The league was first played in the 1980 season. Färjestad BK has won the most league titles, with seven.
