This is a recap of the 1962 season for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. It was the Tour's fourth season. Included in the season's 30 events was the third PBA National Championship (won by Carmen Salvino) [1] and the first-ever PBA Tournament of Champions, which featured all 25 previous PBA Tour champions to date. It was won by Joe Joseph, who had qualified by capturing his first PBA title only four events earlier. [2]

The PBA Tournament of Champions is one of the five major PBA bowling events. It is an invitational event and the only PBA Tour major that does not have any open field. All participants must meet qualifications to be invited.
The PBA Tour is the major professional tour for ten-pin bowling, operated by the Professional Bowlers Association. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, over 3,000 members worldwide make up the PBA. While most of the PBA members are Regional professionals, a small percentage of the bowling membership competes at the national and international level, forming the PBA Tour. Founded in 1958, the PBA Tour has been in continuous operation since the inaugural 1959 season.
Randy Pedersen is an American sportscaster and former professional bowler. He is currently a color analyst for Fox Sports' coverage of the PBA Tour, formerly filling that same role on ESPN and CBS Sports Network telecasts of the PBA Tour in previous seasons. During the most recent season, he worked alongside play-by-play announcers Rob Stone and Dave Ryan, having previously worked with Dave LaMont, Lon McEachern and Mike Jakubowski. Pedersen grew up in Southern California, but relocated to Clermont, Florida in the early 1990s. He has resided in Florida ever since. He and his ex-wife Becky have two children: a son, Chad and a daughter, Savannah.
The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) is the major sanctioning body for the sport of professional ten-pin bowling in the United States. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the PBA membership consists of over 3,000 members worldwide. Members include "pro shop" owners and workers, teaching professionals and bowlers who compete in the various events put on by the Association.
Tommy Jones is an American professional bowler currently competing on the PBA Tour. He is a member of the PBA Hall of Fame and the USBC Hall of Fame. He is also an 11-time member of Team USA.
Donald James Carter was a right-handed American professional bowler. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he learned the game while working a childhood job as a pinsetter, and went on to become one of the legends of ten-pin bowling and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) in 1958.
Basil "Buzz" Fazio nicknamed the "Buzzer" was a pioneer and early American bowling star during the mid-20th century. Known equally for his fierce competitiveness and audience pleasing theatrics, Fazio's professional career spanned from the early 1940s to the late 1960s. The six-time ABC and two-time PBA champion began his career during bowling's golden era of "Team" play.
Carmen Salvino is an active professional ten-pin bowler, inventor, author, ambassador, and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Known as "PBA's Original Showman", Salvino won 17 PBA Tour titles –- among them the 1962 PBA National Championship where he defeated fellow bowling legend Don Carter in the finals. He also won two PBA Senior Tour titles, including the 1984 Senior National Championship. The right-handed bowler was among the eight original inductees to the PBA Hall of Fame in 1975, and is also a member of the USBC Hall of Fame, the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, the Illinois Sports Hall of Fame, and the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame.
Wesley Clint "Big Nasty" Malott is an American professional ten-pin bowler and member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Originally from Pflugerville, Texas, he now resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has won ten PBA Tour titles, and was the 2008–09 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year. He won his lone major championship at the 2012–13 U.S. Open, and has finished runner-up in five other PBA major tournaments. Malott also won the 2006–07 Showplace Lanes Megabucks Shootout, which was not a PBA Tour event. He won the non-title PBA King of Bowling event in 2009, and defended his King position eight consecutive times through 2018.
Michelle Feldman is an American right-handed female professional ten-pin bowler and former member of the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA). A native of Skaneateles, New York, she resides in nearby Auburn, New York.

Michael Haugen Jr. is a professional ten-pin bowler residing in Carefree, Arizona. He is a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), having joined in 1994. He has won five PBA Tour titles overall, including a major title at the 2008 PBA Tournament of Champions. He also owns a major title on the PBA50 Tour, after winning the 2017 PBA Senior U.S. Open. Haugen is right-handed.

John Douglas "Guppy" Troup is a ten-pin bowler who has competed professionally since the mid-1970s. During his career on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour, he earned eight national titles, along with another 41 in PBA Regional Tour competitions.
This is a recap of the 2011–12 season for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. It is the tour's 53rd season, and the third straight season in which all of the first half events were condensed into the PBA World Series of Bowling (WSOB). The season consisted of 15 title events. This is also the final season in which the PBA is using an "exempt" player list. The "exempt" status for touring players will not be carried into the 2012–13 season.
This is a recap of the 1965 season for the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. It was the tour's seventh season, and consisted of 32 events. Dave Davis won the first two titles of his career, including the sixth PBA National Championship, but it was PBA legend Dick Weber who was honored with the Sporting News PBA Player of the Year award. The second-ever PBA Firestone Tournament of Champions was held this season, and featured all PBA titlists since the inaugural 1962 event. The tournament offered a then-PBA record $25,000 first prize, and was won by Billy Hardwick. Following this season, the PBA announced that the Tournament of Champions would be an annual event.

Earl Anthony registered his second career "three-peat" at the PBA National Championship, giving him six titles in this event overall. Anthony won one more title on the season and collected his sixth career PBA Player of the Year award.
The 2018 PBA Tour season, the 59th season of play of the U.S. Professional Bowlers Association's (PBA) ten-pin bowling tour, began on January 26, 2018. The season included 21 singles title events, two doubles title events, and a non-title team event. The 2018 season was used to mark the PBA's 60th year of operations, which included a 148-player PBA 60th Anniversary Classic in Indianapolis, and the unveiling of the Tour's top 60 moments.
The PBA Players Championship is one of five major tournaments on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour. It is one of three PBA Tour major events that are open only to PBA members.
Harry Monroe Smith, nicknamed "Tiger", was a right-handed American ten-pin bowler and charter member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Smith won 12 PBA Tour titles, including two major championships. He is a member of the PBA and USBC Halls of Fame.
