The 1964 Arab Cup was the second edition of the Arab Cup hosted by Kuwait. In Iraq's first appearance, they won the title for the 1st time.

Participated teams

Five teams taked part for the tournament, the hosts Kuwait for the first time with Iraq and Libya, Jordan and Lebanon. Five teams withrew the tournament, The defending title team Tunisia because the national elections state, Morocco and Sudan sent an apology, Egypt because it had just finished it participation at the 1964 Summer Olympics football tournament and Syria for financial reasons.
