The 1964 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament took place during May and June 1964. It was the 2nd CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament.

Contents

Bolivia, Paraguay and Venezuela did not participate. Argentina and Brazil qualified for the 1964 Summer Olympics. [1]

It is estimated that 328 people died in a stampede during the match between Argentina and Peru on 24 May 1964. [2]

The South American section of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification acted as qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia, for national teams which are members of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). A total of 4.5 slots in the final tournament were available for CONMEBOL teams.

The 2017 South American Under-15 Football Championship was the 8th edition of the South American Under-15 Football Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the CONMEBOL for the men's under-15 national teams of South America. The tournament was held in Argentina between 4 and 19 November 2017.

Futsal at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics

The futsal competition at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 7 to 18 October. At Tecnópolis and the CeNARD, the first one located in Villa Martelli, and the second one in Buenos Aires. There are two tournaments, one for boys and one for girls.

The 1984 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament began on 8 February and ended on 21 February 1984 and was the 7th CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament. Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Uruguay did not participate. Brazil and Chile qualified for the 1984 Summer Olympics.

The 1987 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament began on 18 April 1987 and ended on 3 May 1987 and was the 8th CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament.

The 2018 Copa América Femenina was the eighth edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina, the quadrennial international football competition for women's national teams in South America affiliated with CONMEBOL. The tournament was played between 4 and 22 April 2018 in Chile.

The 2018 South American Under-17 Women's Football Championship was the 6th edition of the South American Under-17 Women's Football Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the CONMEBOL for the women's under-17 national teams of South America. The tournament was held in Argentina between 7–25 March 2018.

2020 Copa América 47th edition of the Copa América

The 2020 Copa América will be the 47th edition of the Copa América, the international men's football championship organized by South America's football ruling body CONMEBOL. The tournament will take place in Colombia and Argentina from 11 June to 11 July 2021. This will mark the first time it will be hosted by more than one country since 1983, when it was played in a home-away basis, and the first time ever in two countries. Starting from this edition, the tournament will switch to be held every four years in even-numbered years, with the next edition taking place in 2024.

The 2018 South American Under-18 Futsal Championship was the 2nd edition of the South American Under-18 Futsal Championship, the biennial international youth futsal championship organised by the CONMEBOL for the men's under-18 national teams of South America. The tournament was held in Luque, Paraguay between 22–29 March 2018. Different from the first edition, it was played as an under-18 tournament instead of an under-17 tournament.

The 2019 South American U-20 Championship was the 29th edition of the South American U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Chile between 17 January and 10 February 2019.

The 2019 South American U-17 Championship was the 18th edition of the South American U-17 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-17 national teams of South America. It was held in Peru from 21 March to 14 April 2019.

Peru Olympic football team national association football team

Peru Olympic football team represents Peru in international football competitions in multi-sport events such as the Olympic Games and the Pan American Games. The selection is limited to players under the age of 23, except three overage players. The team is controlled by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). Peru has participated in two Olympic football tournaments, one Pan American football tournament, and 7 Bolivarian football tournaments under this category.

The 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament was the 13th edition of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted football tournament organised by the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the South American region qualify for the Olympic football tournament.
