The 1971 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament was the 4th CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament.

The CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament is an international association football event in the South America region, and is the qualification tournament for the football at the Olympic Games.

Brazil and Colombia qualified for the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1]

The 1972 Olympic football tournament, held in Munich, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Nürnberg, Passau, and Regensburg, was played as part of the 1972 Summer Olympics. The tournament features 16 men's national teams from five continental confederations. The 16 teams are drawn into four groups of four and each group plays a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the second group stage, where the second-placed teams in each group advanced to the bronze medal match while the first-placed teams advanced to the gold medal match held at Olympic Stadium on 10 September 1972.

The 2018–2019 season will be El Salvador's Segunda División de Fútbol Salvadoreño. The season will be split into two championships Apertura 2018 and Clausura 2019. The champions of the Apertura and Clausura play the direct promotion playoff every year. The winner of that series ascends to Salvadorean Primera Division.

The 2019 South American U-20 Championship was the 29th edition of the South American U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Chile between 17 January and 10 February 2019.
