The 1964 Honduran Amateur League was the 17th and last edition of the Honduran Amateur League. Club Deportivo Olimpia obtained its 6th national title. [1] The season ran from 19 April to 20 December 1964. [2]
Liga Amateur de Honduras was previous to the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras. It ran from 1947 to 1964.
Club Deportivo Olimpia, commonly referred to as Olimpia, is a professional Honduran football club based in Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán. The club is the nation's most successful team both in the domestic league and in international club competitions.

The 1999–2000 Honduran Liga Nacional was the 35th season in the Honduran top division, the tournament was divided into two halves and it determined the 35th and 36th national champions in the league's history. The league games started 18 September 1999.
The 1950–51 Honduran Amateur League was the fourth edition of the Honduran Amateur League. F.C. Motagua obtained its 2nd national title. The season ran from 9 September 1950 to 23 January 1951.
The 2011–12 season in Honduran Liga Nacional was divided into two tournaments and determined the 59th and 60th champions in the history of the league. It also provided two berths for the 2012–13 CONCACAF Champions League. The Apertura tournament was played in the second half of 2011, while the Clausura was played in the first half of 2012. A new change in the system was used for this season; unlike previous years, 6 teams qualified to the final round, matching team 3rd vs team 6th and team 4th vs team 5th, those who advanced played the semifinals against 1st and 2nd.

The tournament is scheduled to start in July 2018 and end in May 2019. The season will be divided into two halves, each crowning one champion. The team with the best record will qualify to the 2020 CONCACAF Champions League. The next two will qualify to the 2019 CONCACAF League.
The 2018–19 season will be C.D. Marathón's 68th season in existence and the club's 53rd consecutive season in the top fight of Honduran football. The club will be looking for its 10th league title. They will also compete for the 2018 Honduran Cup and the 2018 Honduran Supercup.
