The Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) is an NCAA Division I collegiate wrestling conference. It held its first championship tournament in 1905, making it the oldest wrestling conference in the NCAA; the charter members were Columbia, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale. Thirty-two different schools have been members of the EIWA during its history, all schools from the Eastern United States. Its current members are schools in the Northeast whose main conferences do not sponsor wrestling, including the Patriot League, America East Conference, Northeast Conference, and Colonial Athletic Association, as well as all of the Ivy League schools that sponsor wrestling. Franklin & Marshall is the only Division III school that competes in Division I wrestling.
The Clemson Tigers are the athletic teams that represent Clemson University, located in Clemson, South Carolina. They compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level, primarily competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for all sports since the 1953–54 season. Clemson competes for and has won multiple NCAA Division I national championships in various sports, including minor league ACC football, men's soccer, and men's golf.
The San Diego State Aztecs are the athletic teams that represent San Diego State University (SDSU). San Diego State currently sponsors six men's and eleven women's sports at the varsity level.
The Fresno State Bulldogs are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent California State University, Fresno. The university is a member of NCAA Division I's Mountain West Conference (MW). It was a member of the Western Athletic Conference from 1992 until 2012, when it left for the Mountain West alongside fellow WAC member Nevada.
The Princeton Tigers are the athletic teams of Princeton University. The school sponsors 38 varsity teams in 20 sports. The school has won several NCAA national championships, including one in men's fencing, three in women's lacrosse, six in men's lacrosse, and eight in men's golf. Princeton's men's and women's crews have also won numerous national rowing championships. The field hockey team made history in 2012 as the first Ivy League team to win the NCAA Division I Championship in field hockey.
The Princeton Tigers men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Princeton University. The school competes in the Ivy League in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Tigers play home basketball games at the Jadwin Gymnasium in Princeton, New Jersey on the university campus. Princeton has won six Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League championships, 27 Ivy League championships, and the 1975 National Invitation Tournament. The team is currently coached by Mitch Henderson.
The CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing the California State University, Bakersfield, located in Bakersfield, California. The Roadrunners compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Big West Conference.
The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships for individuals and teams have been held annually since 1928, except for a hiatus in 1943–45 during World War II and in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 1986 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships were the 56th NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships to be held. The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa hosted the tournament at Carver–Hawkeye Arena.
The 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships took place from March 15 to March 17 in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Quicken Loans Arena. The tournament went into its 88th NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, and featured 62 teams across that level.
