The 2007 AFC Asian Cup was the 14th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2007 were held from 10 June 2007 to 23 June 2007. It was the 16th staging of UEFA's European Under-21 Championship.

The UEFA Women's Cup 2006–07 was the sixth edition of the UEFA Women's Cup football club tournament. 43 teams from 42 football associations took part, starting with the first qualifying round played on 8 and 18 August 2006. 1981 FIFA World Youth Championship International football competition

The 1981 FIFA World Youth Championship, the third edition of the FIFA World Youth Championship, was held in Australia from 3 to 18 October 1981. The tournament took place in six venues—where a total of 32 matches were played. Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney—The winner was West Germany, who beat surprise package Qatar 4–0 in a final held at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Football at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Mens tournament International football competition

The men's football tournament at the 2004 Summer Olympics was held in Athens and four other cities in Greece from 11 to 28 August. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from the six continental confederations. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four, in which each team would play each of the others once. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the final at Athens' Olympic Stadium on 28 August 2004.

Abdul Kadir (footballer) Indonesian footballer

Abdul Kadir was an Indonesian footballer, who played left wing in Indonesia's national team from 1965 to 1979. Due to his agility in maneuvering the ball, Abdul Kadir got himself the nickname "The Deer". He is the record holder in terms of both appearances and goal scoring for Indonesia national football team. In December 2021, he was confirmed to have made 105 'A' appearances at the international level to become a member of the FIFA Century Club, the only Indonesian footballer to do so.

The association football tournament at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games took place from 3 to 21 November 2011. This edition of the tournament was only for the men's competition, women's competition was not held as the host country Indonesia did not have enough stadiums to hold the matches. It was played among U-23 national teams. All matches took place in Jakarta. This was the first time that all Southeast Asian nations participated in the football tournament at the same edition of the SEA Games.
