The top four finishers in the regular season of the conference's seven teams advance to the double-elimination tournament, which in 2024 will return to J. L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The 2012 Summit League baseball tournament took place from May 24 through 26. The top four regular season finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Oral Roberts University's J. L. Johnson Stadium. Oral Roberts won their fifteenth consecutive championship, claiming the tournament title every year but one of the sixteen seasons that they have been in the league, and will represent The Summit League in the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The 1995 Mid-Continent Conference Tournament took place from May 20 through 23. The top two regular season finishers of each of the league's two divisions met in the double-elimination tournament held at Monier Field on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Troy State won the tournament for the first time.
