The Summit League men's basketball tournament is the post-season tournament for NCAA Division I conference Summit League. The winner of the tournament receives the Summit League's automatic bid into the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. The UIC Flames baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The team is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium in Chicago, Illinois. The Flames are coached by Sean McDermott.

Craig "Cubby" Lathen is an American basketball player who is most notable for his time spent as point guard for the UIC Flames men's basketball team in the early 1980s. He was the 1983–84 NCAA Division I men's basketball season assists leader and earned The Summit League Men's Basketball Player of the Year back when The Summit League was known as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities (AMCU), which later became known as the Mid-Continent Conference. He holds the Summit League records for career and single-season assists per game. He holds the UIC records for career, single-season and single-game assists as well as single-season steals. During his junior season as a high school basketball player, his East Aurora High School team set the Illinois record for most single-season 100-point performances. In college, he helped his school post its all-time highest score with a 120-point night. Due to academic difficulties he only played nine games as a senior. His Summit League records are also abbreviated by the fact that his freshman season predated the conference.

The 2012 Horizon League baseball tournament took place from May 23 through 27. All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at UIC's Les Miller Field. Top seeded Valparaiso won their first Horizon League Championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

Mike Dee is an American former baseball coach and outfielder. He played college baseball at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He served as the head baseball coach at the UIC Flames (1999–2021). Under him, UIC reached six NCAA tournaments. Before coming to UIC, he was an assistant at Minnesota.

Cal State Fullerton claimed the championship for the second time.

The 2021 Horizon League men's soccer tournament was the postseason men's soccer tournament for the Horizon League. It was held from November 7 through November 13, 2021. The quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while semifinals and final took place at Oakland Soccer Field in Rochester, Michigan. The six team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Milwaukee Panthers were the defending champions. They were unable to defend their crown, falling to Cleveland State in the Semifinals. Oakland finished as tournament champions after defeating Cleveland State 3–1 in the Final. This was the third overall title for Oakland, all of which have come under head coach Eric Pogue. As tournament champions, Oakland earned the Horizon League's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.

Southwest Missouri State won the tournament for the third time, en route to winning the first six titles.

The top 4 regular season finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held in Chicago, Illinois. Southwest Missouri State won the tournament for the fourth time, en route to winning the first six titles.

The 1988 Association of Mid-Continent Universities Tournament took place from May 13 through 16. The top 4 regular season finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held in Chicago, Illinois. Southwest Missouri State won the tournament for the fifth time, en route to winning the first six titles.

The 1989 Association of Mid-Continent Universities Tournament took place from May 12 through 14. The top 4 regular season finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held in Chicago, Illinois. Southwest Missouri State won the tournament for the sixth time. The Bears would leave the conference after the 1990 season, the first time they did not win the Tournament.

The 1990 Mid-Continent Conference Tournament took place from May 11 through 14. The top 4 regular season finishers of the league's eight teams met in the double-elimination tournament held in Chicago, Illinois. UIC won the tournament for the first time.

The 2022 Horizon League baseball tournament was held from May 25 through 28. The top six of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Nischwitz Stadium in Fairborn, Ohio, home field of Wright State. The winner of the tournament earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.

The 1992 Mid-Continent Conference Tournament took place from May 15 through 18. The top six regular season finishers of the league's nine teams met in the double-elimination tournament held in Chicago, Illinois. Wright State won the tournament for the first and only time.

The 1995 Mid-Continent Conference Tournament took place from May 20 through 23. The top two regular season finishers of each of the league's two divisions met in the double-elimination tournament held at Monier Field on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Troy State won the tournament for the first time.
