The Bofrost Cup on Ice was a senior international figure skating competition held in Germany from 1986 to 2004. The event adopted its final name in 2002.

Gelsenkirchen Place in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Gelsenkirchen is a city in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia which, with a population 262,528 in 2016, is the 25th largest in Germany. On the Emscher River, a tributary of the Rhine, it lies at the centre of the Ruhr, the largest urban area of Germany, of which it is the fifth largest city after Dortmund, Essen, Duisburg and Bochum. Single skating discipline of figure skating

Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles, along with the other figure skating disciples, pair skating, ice dance, and synchronized skating, are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU).

European Figure Skating Championships recurring sporting event

The European Figure Skating Championships ("Europeans") is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), and is the oldest of the four annual figure skating competitions designated "ISU Championships".
