The 1992 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship (known at that time as 1992 European Championship for Men 'Under22 and Under') was the first edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The city of Athens, in Greece, hosted the tournament. Italy won their first title.

The hosts, Greeks, emerged as the champions after beating the Lithuanians in the final, 57–50 to clinch their first European Under-18 championship. The tournament served as the European Qualifiers for the 2009 FIBA Under-19 World Championship.

The 1994 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the second edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The cities of Maribor, Postojna and Ljubljana, in Slovenia, hosted the tournament. Belarus won their first title.

The 1996 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the third edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The cities of Bursa and Istanbul, in Turkey, hosted the tournament. Lithuania won their first title.

The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the 17th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The competition was played in Crete, Greece, from 8 to 20 July 2014. The winners were Turkey. To win the title they beat Spain with a score of 65–57. It was their first ever title win. The runners-up were Spain and third place were Serbia. Defending champions from 2013, Italy, came in at tenth place, their worst result since 2010.

It was held in Chieti, Sulmona and Pescara, Italy, from 11 to 20 July 2008. Russia women's national under-20 basketball team won the tournament and became the European champions for the fourth time.
