The 1996 Brabantse Pijl was the 36th edition of the Brabantse Pijl cycle race and was held on 31 March 1996. The race started and finished in Alsemberg. [2] The race was won by Johan Museeuw.

The Brabantse Pijl is a Flanders Classics road bicycle race held annually in Flemish Brabant and in Walloon Brabant, Belgium. Since 2005, the race has been organised as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour.

Alsemberg is a rural town with about 5,300 inhabitants in the municipality of Beersel, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium, situated south of Brussels.

Johan Museeuw road bicycle racer

Johan Museeuw is a retired Belgian professional road racing cyclist who was a professional from 1988 until 2004. Nicknamed The Lion of Flanders, he was particularly successful in the cobbled classics of Flanders and Northern France and was considered one of the best classic races specialists of the 1990s.
