Bhobhar

An awards ceremony where the Cinema of Rajasthani was honored at the Rajasthan Film Festival.

Kanchan Cassette and Series organized the first Rajasthan Film Festival Award Ceremony to honor Rajasthan Cinema, Art, Culture, and Artists [1] at Deep Smriti Auditorium in Jaipur, India.

The ceremony began with a documentary of 70 years of Cinema of Rajasthani. The artists, producers, directors and others associated with cinema, saluted and applauded the roots and significance of Rajasthan. Attendees expressed their heartfelt feelings and progressed to the development of film industry. [2]

Artists of Hindi and Rajasthani Cinema in all categories were given awards. In addition O.P. Vyas, Gulabo Sapera, Mohan Singh Rathore, Veena Cassettes, Modern Videos, Neelu Wagela, Khistiz Kumar, and Ramesh Tiwari were awarded with " Life Time Achievement " Awards. [2] Dr. Mahesh Joshi presided the function.

Rajasthan State in north-western India

Irrfan Khan, also known simply as Irrfan, was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi cinema as well as British and American films. Cited in the media as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema, Khan's career spanned over 30 years and earned him numerous accolades, including a National Film Award, an Asian Film Award, and six Filmfare Awards. In 2011, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour. In 2021, he was posthumously awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.

Preeti Jhangiani Indian film actress and model

Preeti Jhangiani is an Indian model and actress. Jhangiani first appeared in Rajshri Productions music album Yeh Hai Prem in 1997.She is known for her work in Mazhavillu and made her Bollywood debut with super-hit multi-starrer film Mohabbatein in 2000 opposite Jimmy Shergill.

Screen Awards Award

The Screen Awards is an annual awards ceremony held in India honouring professional excellence in Bollywood. The nomination and award selection is done by a panel of distinguished professionals from the industry. The awards were introduced by the Screen film magazine of The Indian Express Group in 1995. The magazine was acquired by Star India in 2015 and subsequently closed down. Though Star India continues to sponsor the awards under the Star Screen Awards title.

Assamese cinema Film industry based in Assam, India

Assamese cinema, also known as Jollywood, is the cinema industry in the Assamese language, watched primarily in Assam, India. The industry was born in 1935 when Jyoti Prasad Agarwala released his movie Joymoti. Since then the Assamese cinema has developed a slow-paced, sensitive style, especially with the movies of Bhabendra Nath Saikia and Jahnu Barua. Dor (transl. String) is a 2006 Indian drama film written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and features Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag and Shreyas Talpade as the lead actors. The film is an official adaptation of the Malayalam film, Perumazhakkalam (2004) and was well received by the critics after its release on 22 September 2006. Dor, which also released on a DVD, garnered rave reviews from critics and film buffs.

<i>Duvidha</i> 1973 Indian film directed by Mani Kaul

Duvidha is a 1973 ghost movie directed by Mani Kaul, based on a Rajasthani story of the same name by Vijaydan Detha. The film stars Ravi Menon and Raisa Padamsee in lead roles. The film was critically acclaimed and won the director the National Film Award for Best Direction and Critics Award for Best film at the 1974 Filmfare Awards. This film was remade in 2005 as Paheli, starring Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee in the lead roles.

Bai Chali Sasariye is a 1988 Rajasthani language film. The movie ran for 100 days and thus created a history in Rajasthan cinema.

The cinema of Rajasthan refers to films produced in Rajasthan in north-western India. These films are produced in various regional and tribal languages including Rajasthani varieties such as Mewari, Marwari, Hadoti etc.

59th National Film Awards

The 59th National Film Awards, presented by the Directorate of Film Festivals, honoured the best of Indian cinema for 2011 and took place on 3 May 2012 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Awards were presented in 38 categories in the Feature Films section, 20 categories in the Non-Feature Films section and two categories for the Best Writing on Cinema section; 41 jury members chose the winners from 392 entries. The ceremony was hosted by actors Vinay Pathak and Saumya Tandon. Awards were presented by the Vice-President of India, Mohammad Hamid Ansari. The ceremony was broadcast live on three television channels, eleven All India Radio stations, and webcast live.

60th National Film Awards

The 60th National Film Awards ceremony was an event during which the Directorate of Film Festivals presented its annual National Film Awards to honour the best films of 2012 in the Indian cinema. The ceremony was held on 3 May 2013 and was hosted by Bollywood actors R. Madhavan and Huma Qureshi.

The 61st National Film Awards ceremony was an event during which the Directorate of Film Festivals of India presented its annual National Film Awards to honour the best films of 2013 in the Indian cinema. The ceremony was held on 3 May 2014.

O. P. Vyas Musical artist

O. P. Vyas was an Indian lyricist, musician, singer and poet from Rajasthan. He wrote primarily in the Rajasthani language and focused on themes of Rajasthani culture.

Rajnigandha Shekhawat is a popular singer from Rajasthan and the Princess of the estrwhile state of Malsisar Rajasthan, India, she is known for singing Rajasthani folk, Bollywood, English + Rajasthani Marwari mashups, vintage classics and more. She has done playbacks in 6 films – her biggest song to date is Dharma Productions' Badri ki dulhania with over 650 million views, which opens with her voice. Rajnigandha's voice was heard in one of this season's So you think you can dance' reality show episodes in the US. She has been nominated for a Mirchi Award for Most Promising New Singer in 2017 for the film Shubh Mangal Savdhan. She was recently invited to participate in the reality singing show Rising Star on Colors TV and also performed at the Big Boss finale which is the Indian version of Big Brother.

Rajasthan Film Festival

The Rajasthan Film Festival Award ceremony is a set of awards presented annually to honor both artistic and technical excellence of artists in Rajasthani cinema as well as in other Regional Cinema. The awards began in 2013. This year award ceremony was held in September for 3 days. Shreyas Talpade was the host of the event and many other prominent celebrities spotted at the event included Shakti Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Rajesh Puri, Komal Nahta, Aniruddh Dave, Neha Shree, Aniruddh Singh and Others. This year theme of the festival was Unity in diversity and under that 24 awards will be awarded into 2 broad categories, (1) For films produced in Rajasthan and, (2) For films produced in other regions of India. During the event Bollywood Actor Shakti Kapoor got the Lifetime Achievement Award.

<i>Bhobhar</i> 2012 Indian film directed by Gajendra S. Shrotriya

Bhobhar is a 2012 Rajasthani-language drama film written and directed by Gajendra S. Shrotriya. Besides some senior theatre artists like S N Purohit, Harinarayan Sharma, Anil Marwari, Sanjay Vidrohi, and Vasudev Bhatt in the supporting roles, the lead cast of Amit Saxena, Uttaranshy Pareek and Vikas Pareek are all from Jaipur. The film also highlights the culture and lifestyle of Rajasthan.

Veena Music

Veena Music is a music label based in Rajasthan, India. It is owned by K. C. Maloo and is headquartered at Jaipur. Since its establishment, it has released many albums in Rajasthani and Hindi languages. and has also acquired music rights of many Rajasthani films. Its main aim is to promote true Rajasthani music in today's music scenario of adulterated, poor and high-noise music. It was established 25 years ago, and has since been a pioneer in fostering Rajasthani music through its albums and various cultural programmes held across the state and abroad.

Karmveer Choudhary

Karmveer Choudhary sometimes referred as Karamveer Chaudhary is an Indian actor and motivational speaker, best known for his works in Hindi cinema and Indian television.

The 66th National Film Awards ceremony was the award ceremony which took place in 2019 to honour the best films of 2018, in the Indian cinema. The declaration of awards was delayed due to 2019 Indian general election.
