The 2003 Continental Basketball Association All-Star Game was the 37th All-Star Game organised by CBA since its inception in 1949 and the first after 2000. It was held at the 7,500 seat Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on March 22, 2003. The National Conference defeated the American Conference 140-125 and Versile Shaw was named the Most Valuable Player.
Malik Dixon of Dakota Wizards was the winner beating Puerto Rican Larry Ayuso of Grand Rapids Hoops in the final.
Bryant Notree of the Gary Steelheads won the slam-dunk competition beating Cory Hightower of the Great Lakes Storm in the final.
MVP Versile Shaw scored 29 points, picking up 7 rebounds, Fred Vinson had 24 pts while Tyson Wheeler had 14 assist for the National Conference. Albert White scored 28, Cory Hightower 27, Bryant Notree had 21 points and 9 rebounds and Fred Vinson 24 points for the winners. [1]

The Dakota Wizards were an American professional basketball team based in Bismarck, North Dakota. They played in the NBA Development League from 2006 until 2012. After the 2011–12 season, the team relocated to Santa Cruz, California, and now plays as the Santa Cruz Warriors. Prior to entering the D-League in 2006, the Wizards spent 11 years playing in minor American leagues such as the International Basketball Association (IBA) and the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).

The Minot SkyRockets were a team in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). They played their home games at the Minot Municipal Auditorium. The team began play in 2005 as the San Jose Skyrockets of the American Basketball Association. The team had a very successful first season, finishing first in the Ron Boone division with a 29-5 record. The team advanced to the semifinals of the ABA Great Eight, losing to the Rochester Razorsharks, 106-103.

Chico Fletcher is a former American basketball player who is best known for his collegiate career at Arkansas State University. Between 1996–97 and 1999–2000, Fletcher recorded 893 assists, which at the time of his graduation was the 11th highest total in NCAA Division I history. He was the head coach of the Dakota Wizards from 2000 to 2004 and in 2006–2007 in the International Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, and the NBA Development League, winning championships in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007. He also coached the Sioux Falls Skyforce from 2004 to 2006, winning a championship in 2005. In the NBA, Joerger served as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies from 2013 to 2016, and Sacramento Kings from 2016 to 2019.

He played college basketball at American University between 1998 and 2002, where he was a three-time all-conference selection and the 2002 Patriot League Player of the Year. After graduating college, he had short stints in the Continental Basketball Association and National Basketball Development League.
