The 2003 Skyrunner World Series was the 2nd edition of the global skyrunning competition, Skyrunner World Series, organised by the International Skyrunning Federation from 2002. [1]

Skyrunning

Skyrunning is an extreme sport of mountain running above 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) where the incline exceeds 30% and the climbing difficulty does not exceed II° grade. The governing body is the International Skyrunning Federation. The sport comprises a number of different disciplines from the short, steep Vertical Kilometer to the more popular SkyRace and SkyMarathon. Ultra SkyMarathons are becoming increasingly popular as are short vertical SkySpeed races which include skyscraper racing.

Skyrunner World Series

The Skyrunner® World Series is an annual international championship of skyrunning organised from 2008 by the International Skyrunning Federation (ISF). Previously the races were organised by the Federation for Sport at Altitude (FSA) that was founded in 1995 and functioned until ISF took over.

The International Skyrunning Federation (ISF) is the world governing body for skyrunning. The ISF today counts 41 Member nations.

The High Trail Vanoise is an international skyrunning competition held for the first time in 2016. It runs every year in Val d’Isère (france) at the end of July or beginning of May. The race is valid for the Skyrunner World Series.

The 2018 Skyrunner World Series was the 17th edition of the global skyrunning competition, Skyrunner World Series, organised by the International Skyrunning Federation from 2002.

The SkyRace Internazionale Valmalenco Valposchiavo was an international skyrunning competition held for the first time in 2002 and for the last time in 2013. It rans every year in June from Lanzada to Poschiavo (Switzerland) and was valid for the Skyrunner World Series.
