Final ranking

The final ranking of the Championship is done by summing up the four best scores in the World Circuit races. In the event of a former victory, the score is divided and in the case of the same score in the circuit, who has won more victories.

Skyrunner World Series annual international skyrunning championship

The Skyrunner® World Series is an annual international championship of skyrunning and the official International Skyrunning Federation (ISF) race circuit for mountain running. Each year the Skyrunner® World Series presents a global Sky Racing calendar, attracting mountain running athletes from almost every country.

Skyrunning Extreme sport of mountain running above 2,000 metres

Skyrunning is a sport of mountain running above 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) where the incline exceeds 30% and the climbing difficulty does not exceed II grade. The governing body is the International Skyrunning Federation. The sport comprises a number of different disciplines from the short, steep Vertical Kilometer to the more popular SkyRace and SkyMarathon. Ultra SkyMarathons are becoming increasingly popular as are short vertical SkySpeed races which include skyscraper racing.

International Skyrunning Federation

The International Skyrunning Federation (ISF) is the world governing body for skyrunning. The ISF today counts 41 Member nations. The Federation of Sports at Altitude (FSA) used to be the organization which governed and managed the sports of skyrunning. It has been replaced by the International Skyrunning Federation.

The 2012 Skyrunner World Series was the 11th edition of the global skyrunning competition, Skyrunner World Series, organised by the International Skyrunning Federation from 2002.

The 2017 Skyrunner World Series was the 16th edition of the global skyrunning competition, Skyrunner World Series, organised by the International Skyrunning Federation from 2002.

The Tromsø SkyRace is an international skyrunning competition held for the first time in 2014. It runs every year in Tromsø (Norway) in August and consists of four races both valid for the Skyrunner World Series.

Vertical Kilometer World Circuit

The Vertical Kilometer World Circuit is an annual international circuit of vertical kilometer born in 2017 as a spin-off of Skyrunner World Series.Nine years on and the Vertical World Circuit announces the 2017 VWC calendar featuring ten races this year, including a new venue: Osaka.
