The 2004 ITF Jounieh Open was a tennis tournament played on Clay courts. It was the 1st edition of the ITF Jounieh Open, and was part of the $50,000 tournaments of the 2004 ITF Women's Circuit. It took place in Jounieh, Lebanon, from September 21 - 26, 2004. The total prize money offered at this tournament was US$ 50,000.[ citation needed ]

Tennis ball sport with racket and net

Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to maneuver the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball will not gain a point, while the opposite player will.

The ITF Jounieh Open is a tournament for female professional tennis players played on outdoor clay courts. The event is classified as an ITF $100,000 tournament. It is held annually in Jounieh, Lebanon, since 2003. The event was cancelled in 2006 and from 2011 due to sponsorship reasons.

The ITF Women's Circuit is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players.

Piedade has competed for he Portugal Fed Cup team, having a total win–loss record of 12–4. Though not officially retired, she hasn't played in the professional circuit since 2009.
