The 2005 FEI European Dressage Championships, was the 24th edition of the European Dressage Championship. It was held at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany, from 28 July to 31 July 2005. [1] The 2005 European Dressage Championships was previously allocated to Moscow, Russia but due financial problems of the organizer they were not able to organise the Championships and had to withdraw two weeks before the start. [2] Ulrich Kasselmann jumped in as last minute organizer of the European Championships and organised the show at the same date as Moscow was supposed to organise. [3]

Constance Menard is a French professional dressage rider and equestrienne. She started training with Michel Autran from the Cadre Noir in 2003.

Equestrian competitions in all three disciplines at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics were held from 9 August to 21 August at the Hong Kong Sports Institute and Sheung Yue River in Hong Kong. It was the second time that the equestrian events were hosted by a member of the IOC other than the member hosting the main games. Unlike 1956, however, the equestrian events were part of the main games, and were held within the same period.

Andreas Helgstrand is a Danish dressage rider. He won four consecutive Danish dressage championships, from 2005 through 2008.

Nicole Uphoff is a German equestrian who competes in the sport of dressage. She won four gold medals in individual and team competition at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics. Riding her star horse, Rembrandt, Uphoff also won numerous other international competitions, including the World Equestrian Games and the European Dressage Championships.

Equestrian at the 2008 Summer Paralympics consisted of eleven dressage events. The competitions were held in the Hong Kong Olympic Equestrian Centre from 7 September to 11 September.

Heike Kemmer is a German equestrian who competes in the sport of dressage. She won team gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics, as well as individual bronze in 2008. She also won medals at the German Dressage Championships and European Dressage Championships, as well as assisting the German team to gold at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. Kemmer retired Bonaparte 67, upon whom she had won most of her international medals, in 2011.

The equestrian events at the 2012 Olympic Games in London were held between 28 July and 9 August at Greenwich Park. Medals were awarded in three disciplines for both individual and team competitions.

Totilas, also known from 2006 to 2011 as Moorlands Totilas, and nicknamed "Toto", was a Dutch Warmblood stallion standing 17.1 hands high who was considered to be one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in the world, the first horse to score above 90 in dressage competition, and the former holder of the world record for the highest dressage score in Grand Prix Freestyle Dressage.

The individual dressage at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, United States was held at Tryon International Equestrian Center from September 11 to September 23, 2018.

The individual dressage at the 2017 FEI European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden was held at Ullevi from 19 to 25 August.

The 2021 FEI European Dressage Championships was held in Hagen, Germany, from 7 to 12 September 2021. Budapest in Hungary was supposed to organise the European Championships but withdrew after the postponement of the 2020 Olympic Games to 2021. First, the FEI announced there will be no European Championships for Dressage, but after several riders, trainers, owners and the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) insisted on a European Championship, Hagen volunteered to organise it. The European Championships for show-jumping will be also held in Germany, at the show location of Olympic gold-medalist Ludger Beerbaum in Riesenbeck.

The individual dressage at the 2009 FEI European Jumping and Dressage Championships in Windsor, Great Britain was held at Windsor Castle from 25 to 30 August.

The 2022 ECCO FEI World Championships were held in Herning, Denmark. It was the ninth edition of the Games, which are held every four years and run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). For team events in the dressage and show jumping disciplines, these Games were the first qualifying event for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

José Ignacio López Porras is a Spanish dressage rider. He won a team bronze medal at the 2005 European Dressage Championships aboard Nevado Santa Clara. He also competed at the 2006 World Equestrian Games.
