The 2006–07 Luge World Cup was a multi race series over a season for luge. The season started on 18 November 2006 and ended on 18 February 2007. The World Cup is organised by the FIL.

Kristan Bromley is a retired British skeleton racer who has competed since 1996. He won the gold medal in the men's event at the 2008 FIBT World Championships in Altenberg, Germany. This was Great Britain's first gold medal at the FIBT World Championships since 1965.
Anne Abernathy is a luge athlete from the United States Virgin Islands and is the oldest female athlete to compete in the Winter Olympics. The 2006 Winter Olympics were her sixth. Despite her age, she is a strong competitor with numerous international podium finishes, and she is consistently ranked in the top 20 world rankings. She is known within luge circles as "Grandma Luge." She is trained for the 2016 Summer Olympics as an archer, but did not qualify for the Games.

Felix Loch is a German luger and Olympic champion. He has been competing since 1995 and has been on the German national team since 2006. He has won fourteen medals at the FIL World Luge Championships with twelve golds and two silvers. Loch's men's singles win in 2008 made him the youngest world champion ever at 18 years old. He is the youngest Olympic Gold Medalist in men's luge history. As of 2014, Loch is a triple Olympic gold medalist.
Matthew "Matt" Mortensen is an American luger who has been competing since 2000. His best Luge World Cup season finish was silver in both the Lake Placid, USA and Altenberg, Germany World Cups in 2016-2017. Mortensen and teammate Jayson Terdiman finished the 2016-2017 season ranked 3rd internationally.

The World Cup was organised by the FIL and sponsored by Viessmann. This cup served as qualifiers up to 31 December 2009 for the 2010 Winter Olympics luge events in Vancouver.
Tatiana Ivanovna Ivanova is a Russian luger who has competed since 2000. She won the women's singles event at the FIL European Luge Championships in 2010 and 2012. Ivanova debuted in the World Cup in the 2008–09 season, finishing 17th.

The season started on 16 November 2013 in Lillehammer, Norway and ended on 26 January 2014 in Sigulda, Latvia. After the World Cup, the athletes moved for two weeks to Sochi for the Luge event in the XXII Olympic Winter Games.
