The 2007 ACC Twenty20 Cup was played from 27 October until 2 November 2007 in Kuwait.

Contents

The ten competing teams were: Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UAE.

Group stage

Group A

Group A saw eventual finalists Oman and Afghanistan finish in the top two and qualify for the semi-final stage. Malaysia failed to win a match, [1] despite featuring Somerset player Arul Suppiah in their squad. [2]

Group B

Group B was a closer group than Group A. The UAE topped the group after winning all four of their games, and hosts Kuwait joined them in the semi-finals after finishing ahead of Singapore. [1]

  • Tournament regulations stated that a Bowl-out was to be used in the event of a tie, but due to the poor condition of the pitch after the match it was cancelled and the trophy shared

The ACC Twenty20 Cup was a 20-over cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The tournament did not include the ACC members who were full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) during the years in which it was held, instead featuring the best associate and affiliate members. Matches at the tournament were not accorded official Twenty20 or Twenty20 International status.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier was a Twenty20 International tournament run under the auspices of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament served as the final qualifying event for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The 2009 ACC Twenty20 Cup was played between 22 and 30 November 2009 in the United Arab Emirates.

The 2003 Youth Asia Cup was an international under-19 cricket tournament held in Karachi, Pakistan, from 14 to 27 July 2003. The fifth ACC under-19 tournament to be held, it was originally scheduled to be held in Singapore, but was moved to Karachi as a precaution against the SARS outbreak. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared organising responsibilities.

The 2015 ACC Twenty20 Cup was an international cricket tournament that was held between 25 and 30 January 2015 in the United Arab Emirates. Oman won the round-robin tournament and qualified for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, along with Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Nepal and UAE who did not play in this tournament as their T20I status had qualified them directly to the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier to be held in Ireland and Scotland. The full members of the ACC automatically qualify for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

Jatinder Singh is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team. He made his debut for the Omani national side at the 2011 World Cricket League Division Three tournament. He is a right-handed top-order batsman.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kuwait women's national cricket team</span> Cricket team

The Kuwait women's national cricket team represents the country of Kuwait in international women's cricket. The team is organised by Cricket Kuwait, which has been a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1998.

The 2022 Asia Cup Qualification was a men's cricket tournament which took place in Oman in August 2022 to determine qualification for the 2022 Asia Cup. The 2020 editions of the ACC Western and Eastern regional T20 tournaments were held in February and March of the same year by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Thirteen teams competed, with the aim of progressing to the qualifier. These were scheduled to be followed by the Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in Malaysia, which was due to be played in August 2020. However, in July 2020 the Asia Cup was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the postponement of the qualifier. In May 2021, the Asian Cricket Council confirmed that there would be no Asia Cup in 2021, with that edition of the tournament deferred until 2023. It was later announced that there would be a T20I Asia Cup in 2022, to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

The 2022 ACC Women's T20 Championship was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that was held in Malaysia from 17 to 25 June 2022. The tournament was organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the top two sides qualified for the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup. The series was the last to be played at the Kinrara Academy Oval before the ground closed on 30 June 2022.
