The 2007 Israel Baseball League season was the first season in the history of the Israel Baseball League. In the first game in the IBL's history, the Modi'in Miracle squared off against the Petach Tikva Pioneers at Yarkon Field in Petach Tikva. The Miracle won that game, beating Petach Tikva 9 to 1.
The champions of the 2007 IBL season were the Bet Shemesh Blue Sox. The Blue Sox defeated the Modi'in Miracle 3–0 on August 19, 2007, to win the championship.

Ronald Mark Blomberg, nicknamed "Boomer", is an American former professional baseball player and minor league manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a designated hitter, first baseman, and right fielder. He played for the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox (1978), and was the manager of the Bet Shemesh Blue Sox in the Israel Baseball League (2007). He was the first designated hitter in Major League Baseball history. He batted left-handed, and threw right-handed.
The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) is a Canadian baseball league, comprising teams of college players and former professionals from North America and beyond. The teams are located in Southern Ontario.
Hapoel Petah Tikva F.C. is an Israeli professional football club based in the city of Petah Tikva, currently playing in Liga Leumit. Its most successful period was throughout the 1950s and 1960s, in which the club won six League Championships and one State Cups. The club holds to this day the record for most consecutive championships – five – and was ranked in the top three of the league for 14 years between 1954 and 1968. Hapoel Petah Tikva did not win the championship since 1963, and its last titles were the State Cup in 1992, and the Toto Cup in 2005.
Arthur Louis Shamsky, nicknamed "Sham" and "Smasher", is an American former Major League Baseball player. He played right field, left field, and first base from 1965 to 1972 for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Oakland Athletics. He tied a major league record by homering in four consecutive at bats in 1966. He was an integral player on the 1969 World Series Champion Miracle Mets, batting .300 with 14 home runs while platooning, and then hitting .538 in the post-season batting cleanup. In 2007, he was the manager of the Modi'in Miracle of the Israel Baseball League.
Michael Richard Waits is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Waits, who threw left-handed, played all or part of twelve seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers (1973), Cleveland Indians (1975–83), and Milwaukee Brewers (1983–85). Waits served as minor league pitching coordinator for the Seattle Mariners organization before being named pitching coach for the Mariners under new manager Lloyd McClendon for the 2014 season.

The country was one of six nations to qualify for baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth in the tournament.

The Israel Football League, also known as the Kraft Family Israel Football League for sponsorship reasons with the Kraft Family, is an amateur American football league consisting of eight teams. The IFL is the highest level of American football in Israel and each season culminates in the Israel Bowl. The Tel Aviv Pioneers are the reigning Israel Bowl champions, having defeated the Ramat HaSharon Hammers in Israel Bowl XVI, a rematch from the previous year.

Scott Perlman, is a former professional baseball player, and served as a starter/relief pitcher for the Bet Shemesh Blue Sox in the Israel Baseball League. He batted and threw righthanded.
Eric Holtz is an American former manager of the Israel national baseball team. He was the assistant coach of gold-medal-winning Team USA in baseball at the 2013 Maccabiah Games, and the Team USA head coach for the gold-medal-winning Under-18 baseball team at the 2017 Maccabiah Games. He was the head coach of the 1st and Only Olympic Baseball team to represent Israel.
Yohai Aharoni is an Israeli former football player and coach who played as a right winger. He is best known for playing in Hapoel Mahane Yehuda and Hapoel Petah Tikva in Israel's prime league. On the Israel national team, Aharoni contributed to Israel's only Asia Cup victory.
