The 2008 Magny-Cours Superbike World Championship round was the thirteenth round of the 2008 Superbike World Championship. It took place on the weekend of October 3-5, 2008, at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.

The 2008 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-first season of the Superbike World Championship. Corona Extra ceased to be the championship's title sponsor, as it had been since 1998. The electronics manufacturer HANNspree took over as the title sponsor in 2008 and this arrangement remained in place until 2010, with the championship officially known as the "HANNspree SBK Superbike World Championship".

Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours motorsport track in France

Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours is a motor racing circuit located in central France, near the towns of Magny-Cours and Nevers, some 250 km from Paris and 240 km from Lyon.

Fonsi Nieto Spanish motorcycle racer

2005 Superbike World Championship

The 2005 Superbike World Championship was the eighteenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 26 February at Losail and finished on 9 October at Magny-Cours after 12 rounds and 23 races. 2005 saw the return of the Japanese manufacturers with major teams from all four Japanese manufacturers ran through European importers' teams.

The 2004 Superbike World Championship was the seventeenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 29 February at Valencia and finished on 3 October at Magny-Cours after 11 rounds. The traditional Japanese round at Sugo was replaced with a new Canadian round which was scheduled for 4 July at the Mont-Tremblant, near Quebec. Though no explanation was given for the change, it was seen as some form of revenge after the refusal of the Japanese manufacturers to back the 2004 rules. The Canadian round was eventually canceled after a circuit inspection determined that the amount of work necessary to bring the venue up to WSBK standard could not be carried out in time for the proposed date.

The 2003 Superbike World Championship was the sixteenth FIM Superbike World Championship season. The season started on 2 March at Valencia and finished on 19 October at Magny-Cours after 12 rounds.
