The 2008 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represented Mississippi State University in the NCAA Division I baseball season of 2008. The team was coached by Ron Polk, in his 35th year as a collegiate head coach, and his 29th at Mississippi State. During mid-season, Coach Polk announced he would resign effective at the conclusion of the season. Following the conclusion of the season, former MSU standout and University of Kentucky Head Baseball coach John Cohen was announced by incoming AD Greg Bryne as the new Mississippi State Baseball Coach for 2009.
The 2008 version of the Mississippi State Bulldogs Baseball team were looking to build on the success of the 2007 MSU Baseball Campaign after advancing to the College World Series. Based upon the achievements the year before, the recruiting class of 2008 was ranked 26th by Collegiate Baseball [2] The team was predicted to finish second in the SEC West Mississippi State was ranked 24th in the preseason NCBWA poll, [3] 23rd in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, [4] and 19th in the Rivals.com preseason poll [5]
Infielder Brandon Turner was named to the 2008 preseason Louisville Slugger TPX 2008 All-America second team [6] and to the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list. [7] Pitcher Aaron Weatherford was named to the preseason watch list for the NCWBA Stopper of the Year Award. [8] Turner and Weatherford were both named to the preseason watch list for the 2008 Brooks Wallace Award. [9]

The Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team representing Mississippi State University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The program is a member of the West Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The current head coach is Chris Lemonis. They have appeared in the College World Series 12 times, winning their first national championship in their most recent appearance in 2021.
The 2008 LSU Tigers baseball team represented Louisiana State University in the NCAA Division I baseball season of 2008. This was the final year for the team in the original Alex Box Stadium. A new stadium was built during the season and opened on opening day of the 2009 season.
Gary Henderson is an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Utah Utes. He played college baseball at Linfield in 1980 and at San Diego State for head coach Jim Dietz from 1982 to 1984. He was the head coach of the Chapman Panthers (1993), the Kentucky Wildcats (2009–2016) and Mississippi State Bulldogs (2018).

The 2018 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represents the Mississippi State University in the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bulldogs play their home games at Dudy Noble Field. Due to construction of the new Dudy Noble Field, the first home game was not played until March 6, to give construction crews time to finish the bottom seating of the stadium. The new Dudy Noble Field in its entirety will not be completed until the 2019 season.

The 2021 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represented Mississippi State University in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bulldogs played their home games at Dudy Noble Field, Polk–DeMent Stadium. Mississippi State won the 2021 College World Series (CWS) Championship over Vanderbilt giving the Bulldogs their first team national championship in any team sport.
The 2021 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs baseball team represented Louisiana Tech University in the sport of baseball for the 2021 college baseball season. The Bulldogs competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in Conference USA West Division. They played their home games at J. C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, on the university's Ruston campus. The team was coached by Lane Burroughs, who was in his fifth season with the Bulldogs.
The 2016 Ole Miss Rebels baseball team represented the University of Mississippi in the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Rebels played their home games at Swayze Field.
The 2022 Texas State Bobcats baseball team represented Texas State University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bobcats played their home games at Bobcat Ballpark and were led by third-year head coach Steven Trout. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference.

The 2023 Oral Roberts Golden Eagles baseball team will represent Oral Roberts University during the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Golden Eagles play their home games at J. L. Johnson Stadium as a member of the Summit League. They are led by head coach Ryan Folmar, in his eleventh season at Oral Roberts.
