The 2008 National Football Challenge Cup was the 18th season of National Football Challenge Cup, the main cup tournament in Pakistani football. [1]

Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup

The Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup (NFCC), is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Pakistani football. It is organised by and named after Pakistan Football Federation. Pakistan Army are the current champions of the National Challenge Cup, winning the 2019 National Challenge Cup, thus winning the competition for a third time.

Association football is the most popular team sport in Pakistan after cricket and field hockey, and it is organised and regulated by the Pakistan Football Federation.

Pakistan Telecommunication were the defending champions, winning the 2005 edition, although their team was dissolved in the end of 2005 season. Thus there was no defending champions.

All the matches were played in CDGK Stadium and Peoples Football Stadium in Karachi.

The KMC Football Stadium, formerly known as the CDGK Stadium, is an association football stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, with a capacity of 15,000. It belongs to the Karachi Municipal Corporation. The venue hosted the 2009 national league's football final, with 15,000 people in attendance. Karachi United, the first Pakistani football club with almost 100,000 followers on Facebook, use the stadium for some games. FC Karachi also use the stadium for some of their home games.

The People's Football Stadium is a football stadium located near Port Grand, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is owned by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation formerly City District Government of Karachi. It has a capacity of 40,000. In 2016, Pakistan Army defeated Pakistan Airlines in the national football tournament at the stadium.

Khan Research Laboratories F.C.

Khan Research Laboratories Football Club, sometimes abbreviated to KRL F.C., or KRL (locally), is a Pakistani professional association football club based in Rawalpindi. The club is affiliated with Khan Research Laboratories and the team play their home games at KRL Stadium. The club has won five league titles and six National Football Challenge Cup. They are the most successful club in the country with eleven trophies. They are the only Pakistani club to reach a continental club finals, when they reached the 2013 AFC President's Cup finals, losing 1–0 to Balkan FK.

The 2005 South Asian Football Federation Cup was the sixth edition of South Asian Football Federation Cup. It was the second time the competition was held in Pakistan. The tournament was played in two cities, Islamabad and Karachi with People's Football Stadium in Karachi hosting group-stages and Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad hosting knock-out rounds and the finals. The tournament started on 7 December and ended on 17 December.

Adeel Ahmed is a retired Pakistani footballer who last played for Khan Research Laboratories. He won national cup twice with Pakistan Telecommunication in 2003 and 2005. He was the Pakistan Premier League's Player of the Year in 2005–06 and 2006–07.

The 2013 National Football Challenge Cup was the 23rd season of National Challenge Cup, the main cup competition in Pakistani football.

The 2014 National Football Challenge Cup was 24th season of domestic cup tournament in Pakistani football. It was sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan, and known as NBP National Football Challenge Cup. 12 teams participated in the tournament.

Pakistan Police Football Club is a Pakistani football club based in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. The club play their home matches at Sadiq Shaheed Stadium, which they share with Pakistan Premier League side Muslim.
