The 2009 National Football Challenge Cup was the 19th edition of National Football Challenge Cup . The tournament was hosted by Hyderabad. The tournament started on 18 April and concluded on 28 April. [1]

Pakistan Navy were the defending champions, they were eliminated in the semi-finals by the eventual winners Khan Research Laboratories, who won their first major trophy since establishment.

The 2006 AFC Challenge Cup was held between 1 and 16 April 2006 in Bangladesh. Sixteen teams were split into four groups, the top two in each group qualifying for the quarterfinals, and from then on a straight knockout contest. There was no qualification stage. The cup winner was Tajikistan. The fair play award was won by Sri Lanka and Tajikistani Ibrahim Rabimov won the most valuable player award.

The 2018 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 27th edition of domestic cup competition in Pakistan. 24 teams participated in the competition, from 21 April to 10 May 2018. The Pakistan National Challenge Cup was held in Karachi after FIFA lifted it ban. The matches took place at the KPT Stadium and the All Brothers Football Stadium, Malir.

The Iran men's national football team has participated in 14 editions of the AFC Asian Cup, first appearing in the 1968 Asian Cup after automatically qualifying as hosts. Overall, Iran is one of the most successful teams in Asia, having won three titles from 1968 to 1976. However, after the 1976 Asian Cup, Iran's best performance is just third place.

The 1996 PPF President's Cup was the 10th edition of Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup. 24 qualified for the tournament but 3 teams withdrew as soon as the tournament started. Quetta hosted the tournament, commencing from August 16, 1996 – September 13, 1996.

The 2012 National Football Challenge Cup was the 22nd edition of National Football Challenge Cup, the domestic cup competition in Pakistani football. The edition was sponsored by Karachi Port Trust, therefore, it was also known as the 2012 KPT Challenge Cup.

2015 National Football Challenge Cup was the 25th edition of the Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup, the main domestic cup in Pakistani football. The tournament was held in Lahore, commencing from 15 April 2015 and concluding on 28 April 2015. The season was called NBP National Challenge Cup as it was sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan.

The 2019 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 28th edition of domestic association football cup competition in Pakistan. 15 teams participated in the competition, commencing from 19 July and concluding on 4 August 2019. The competition was held in Peshawar, with Tehmas Khan Football Stadium and Qayyum Football Stadium hosting all the matches.

The 2017 NBP President's Cup was the first edition of NBP President's Cup. The tournament was sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan in 2017, as there was no footballing activity in Pakistan since 2016 PFF Cup. The tournament commenced on 17 January and concluded on 26 January.
