The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), previously known as Muhajir Qaumi Movement, is a secular political party in Pakistan that was founded by Altaf Hussain in 1984. Currently the party is split between two main factions. MQM-London faction is controlled by Altaf Hussain from London, while MQM-Pakistan is run by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui based in Pakistan. Its electoral symbol was a kite.
The four provinces, capital territory, and two autonomous territories of Pakistan are subdivided into 38 administrative "divisions", which are further subdivided into districts, tehsils, and finally union councils. These divisions were abolished in 2000, but restored in 2008.

Fahmida Mirza is a Pakistani politician who was Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, in office from 20 August 2018 until 10 April 2022. She served as the 18th and only woman Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan from March 2008 to June 2013.
Azra Fazal Pechuho is a Pakistani politician who was the Provincial Minister of Sindh for Health, and Population Welfare, in office from August 2018 till August 2023. She had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from August 2018 till August 2023. She was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, from 2002 to May 2018. She is serving as member of Provincial Assembly of Sindh since February 2024.
Abdul Jalil Memon was an agriculturist by profession and an active politician from the District of Thatta, Province of Sindh, Pakistan. He and his family had strong affiliations with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He was the General Secretary of the PPP in district Thatta. In the 2001 local government elections, he was elected as Nazim, Union Council II, Thatta. He was elected as a Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Sindh on PPP's platform in the general elections held on February 18, 2008. He was later chosen as a member of Sindh Cabinet with the portfolio of Minister for Cooperatives.

PS-128 Karachi Central-VII is a constituency of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
PS-110 Karachi South-V is a constituency of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. This constituency from 2002-2018 was demarcated as PS-113 Karachi-XXV, from 2018-2023 the Election Commission of Pakistan labelled this area as PS-111 Karachi South-V and after 2023 this constituency is presently PS-110 Karachi South-V.

The Grand Democratic Alliance is a regional political coalition of seven Sindh-based political parties. It was founded on 23 October 2017 by the Sindh-based regional political parties along with some rival dissident politicians from Pakistan Peoples Party as a political alliance against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh, accusing it of Political victimization of opponents by using Fascist Authoritarian political policies and has been a critic of Asif Ali Zardari (PPP) president the alliance accused him of supporting Nepotism and Corruption in the region and usurping the Pakistan Peoples Party by using the Bhutto family name to gain power.
Mahesh Kumar Malani is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and previously served in this position from August 2018 till August 2023. He is the first non-Muslim to win a general seat in the National Assembly of Pakistan, 16 years after non-Muslims got the right to vote and contest on general seats of the parliament and provincial assemblies in 2002.

Provincial elections were held in the North-West Frontier Province to elect the members of the 9th Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province on 18 February 2008, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status. These were the last elections held under the provincial name "North-West Frontier Province", later changed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following the Eighteenth Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan.
PS-104 Karachi East-VIII is a constituency of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
Provincial elections were held in Sindh on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023, after the approval of the results of the 2023 digital census by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, elections have been delayed for several months, as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023. On 2 November 2023, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced, in agreement with the President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, that the elections should be held on 8 February 2024. This election was held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
