The 2008 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from February 16 to 23 at the Hibbing Curling Club in Hibbing, Minnesota. [1] It was held in conjunction with the 2008 United States Men's Curling Championship. Team McCormick, led by Debbie McCormick, won the tournament for the third year in a row, a record for the US Nationals. [2] With the win Team McCormick earned the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2009 World Women's Championship held in Gangneung, South Korea, where they finished 9th. [3]
Seven teams competed in the 2008 Championship. [4] [5] It would have been eight teams but Alex Carlson's team chose to withdraw to focus on the 2008 US Junior Championships, which were held just before the Women's Championship, February 2 to 9. [6]

The 2001 United States Olympic Curling Trials were held from December 9 to 16, 2001 in Ogden, Utah. Through double round-robin tournaments the trials determined which men's and women's teams would represent the United States at the 2002 Winter Olympics, also in Ogden. Tim Somerville's team won the men's side; his third time at the Olympics, first time for third Mike Schneeberger, and second time for Myles Brundidge and John Gordon. Kari Erickson and her team of Debbie McCormick, Stacey Liapis, and Ann Swisshelm won the women's side, their only loss coming after they had already clinched the Olympics berth. This was the first Olympics for Erickson and her sister Liapis and second for McCormick and Swisshelm.
The 2021 World Women's Curling Championship was held 30 April to 9 May at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

The 2021 United States Men's Curling Championship was held from May 25 to 30, 2021 at the Wausau Curling Club in Wausau, Wisconsin. The event was held in conjunction with the 2021 United States Women's Curling Championship.
The 2021 United States Olympic Curling Trials was held from November 12 to 21, 2021 at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The trials featured six men's teams and six women's teams who played in a double round robin tournament. After the round robin, the top two teams on each side played a best-of-three playoff to determine the winner. The winner of both the men's and women's events will represent the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
The 2022 World Women's Curling Championship was held from March 19 to 27 at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Prince George was originally chosen to host the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
