The United States Mixed Curling Championship is the annual national curling championship for mixed curling teams in the United States. A mixed curling team consists of two men and two women with the throwing order alternating by gender. The United States Curling Association (USCA) has held the Mixed Championship annually since 1975. [1] Starting in 2015 the winner has gone on to represent the United States at the World Mixed Curling Championship. [2]

Contents

The 2019 Mixed Curling Championship was held March 23 to 30 at the Denver Curling Club in Golden, Colorado. Ten teams qualified for the 2019 Championship through regional play-downs. [3]

On July 17, 2020 the USCA announced that the 2020 edition of the Mixed Championship would be cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. [4]

Johan Niklas Edin is a Swedish curler. He currently resides in Karlstad, which has been his curling home base since 2008. He holds several sport distinctions. He is the first and the only skip in World Curling Federation (WCF) history to win three Olympic medals – gold (2022), silver (2018), and bronze (2014) – and to skip men's curling teams to seven World Men's Curling Championship medals. He is also a seven-time European Curling Championship titleholder and won three silver medals in those championships. He is currently tied with Oskar Eriksson in first place on the WCF-recognized list of championship medals, with thirty-eight in total. Rebecca Lynn Hamilton is an American curler from McFarland, Wisconsin. She currently plays lead on Team Tabitha Peterson. At the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, she competed in mixed doubles curling with her brother, Matt, along with playing with the women's curling team. She was again on the women's curling team during the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Cory Thiesse is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She is currently the defending U.S. champion skip, and represented her country at the 2022 World Women's Curling Championship. Christensen was one of the top junior women's curlers in the United States, playing in six national junior championships and winning four of them. She was the alternate on Nina Roth's 2018 United States Olympic team.

Monica Walker is an American curler originally from Brighton, Massachusetts. She is a three-time national champion.

The United States Arena Curling Championships are annual national curling championships for men and women that are members of arena curling clubs. The 2016 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from December 2-7, 2015 at the Denver Curling Club in Denver, Colorado. The United States Senior Curling Championships are the annual national curling championships for seniors in the United States. The United States Curling Association (USCA) defines seniors as adults over the age of 50. The champions go on to represent the United States at the World Senior Curling Championships. The USCA has held the Senior Championships since 2002, coinciding with the first year the World Senior Championships were held. Those first World Senior Championships were held in Bismarck, North Dakota and the American men won the gold medal.

The 2021 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from May 19 to 23, 2021 at the Wausau Curling Club in Wausau, Wisconsin. The championship featured twenty four teams split into four pools of six. After the round robin, the top two teams from each pool qualified for the playoffs with the first place teams advancing to the seeding round.
