2009 British 125 Championship

The 2009 British 125 Championship season was the 22nd British 125cc Championship season. The championship went down to the very last meetings at Oulton Park, James Lodge leading by 18 points from Martin Glossop with Rob Guiver 23 points behind; after Glossop fell, Lodge only had to finish 14th to take the title. Lodge took a 7th-place finish to secure the title while Guiver moved above Glossop into second place in the championship.

He won 29 British Superbike Championship races with the most recent being at Silverstone in 2010, and finished as series runner-up twice. He then joined another British Superbike team for the remainder of the 2019 season, starting from the September event at Oulton Park, on the ex-Danny Kent machine, previously an ex-Leon Camier 2016 MV Agusta F4.

TAS Racing is an international motorcycle road racing team based in Moneymore, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Owned by Hector Neill, with his son Philip Neill as the team manager, the team has been known under a series of names: TAS Suzuki (2000–2006); Relentless Suzuki (2007–2011) an energy drink product of Coca-Cola; Tyco Suzuki (2012–2014) a security services supplier. In late 2014, after a 15-year partnership with Suzuki, the team signed to become the road racing partner for BMW Motorrad.

The 2008 British Superbike Championship season was scheduled to begin on 6 April 2008; however, snow at Brands Hatch forced the abandonment of the day's races, which were later rescheduled. The series was rescheduled to start on 20 April and end on 12 October 2008.

Simon Neil Stuart Andrews was a British motorcycle racer. He competed in the British Superbike Championship for the MSS Kawasaki aboard a Kawasaki ZX10-R and RAF Reserves team, aboard a Honda CBR1000RR. He died as a result of a crash when racing on a road course in Northern Ireland.

The 2009 British Superbike season was the 22nd British Superbike Championship season. It began at Brands Hatch on 13 April, ending at Oulton Park on 11 October after 26 races held in England and Scotland.

Glen Richards, is an Australian former professional motorcycle road racer and racing team manager. He raced primarily in the United Kingdom, winning the British Supersport Championship and the British Superstock championships and was a regular participant in the British Superbike Championship.

Billy McConnell is an Australian motorcycle racer. James Lodge is a British motorcycle racer who was a two-time British 125 cc champion 2009 and 2010. Lodge also rode two wildcard races in the 125 cc category at the British rounds of 2009 and 2010 World Championships, failing to finish both times. Lodge competed in the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2014. He gained his first podium in the class at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the first race of the 2012 season.

Gary Mason is a British motorcycle road racer, born 4 May 1979 in Tamworth, Staffordshire. He is a former British Superbike Championship privateers cup champion. Mason has previously raced in the British Supersport Championship and the AMA supersport and superstock classes. He currently races a BMW S1000RR in the British National Superstock 1000 Championship.

The 2010 British 125 Championship season was the 23rd British 125cc Championship season, the class is open to anyone of any age and sex. James Lodge stayed in the class after winning the championship last season, and was looking to be the first person to successfully defend the British 125cc Championship. With a number of riders leaving to move up to other classes such as superstock 600, new challengers emerged to challenge for the title. With the two stroke classes disappearing from the world scene in 2012, the future of the 125 championship in Britain is looking doubtful.

Taylor Mackenzie is a former Grand Prix motorcycle racer based in Leicestershire, England. In late 2021, Mackenzie announced his intended retirement from racing at the end of the season. Shortly afterwards, it was announced that from the 2022 season, Mackenzie would be team manager for VisionTrack Honda Moto3, a new team in Moto3 headed by ex-racer Michael Laverty.
