The 2009 Danmark Rundt was a men's road bicycle race held from 29 July to 2 August 2009. It was the 19th edition of the men's stage race, which was established in 1985. The race was won by Danish rider Jakob Fuglsang of Team Saxo Bank, making this his second consecutive victory in the race. Maurizio Biondo of Ceramica Flaminia finished second by just three seconds with Roger Hammond of Cervélo third.

Teams

Fifteen teams took part in the 2009 race. Team Columbia–HTC was due to compete but withdrew as it was unable to field a team.

Final classifications

Danish rider Jakob Fuglsang won the race by three seconds from Maurizio Biondo after a solo victory in stage 3 on the Kiddersvej climb in Vejle. [1] Although Biondo was able to contest the race on the individual time trial, Fuglsang was able to maintain his lead on the final stage. [1] Roger Hammond was placed third.

The points winner was Matti Breschel with Troels Vinther the winner of the mountains classification for best climber. Rasmus Guldhammer won the white jersey for the best young rider award and Allan Johansen was awarded the fighters award for the race. Team Saxo Bank won the overall team competition by seven seconds from Cervélo with Team Capinordic in third place.

Danmark Rundt is a Danish multi-day professional road cycling race. It is currently sponsored by the Danish national postal agency, PostNord, and the race is therefore also known as PostNord Danmark Rundt. The race is sometimes called the Tour of Denmark in English language media. The race has been on the UCI ProSeries calendar since 2021, after being cancelled in 2020.

They competed in 2010 as a UCI Professional Continental team, but folded after the season.

Jakob Diemer Fuglsang is a Danish professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam Israel–Premier Tech. Before turning professional for Team Saxo Bank, he was a mountain biker racing for Team Cannondale–Vredestein, winning the Under-23 World Cup and Under-23 World Championships.

The 2009 season for the Cervélo TestTeam, its first, began in February with the Tour of Qatar and ended in October with the Giro di Lombardia. Though they applied for UCI ProTour status after their formation, the team competed in 2009 as a UCI Professional Continental team with wildcard status. This means that although they were not automatically invited to UCI ProTour events, they were eligible to be invited. Despite not being a ProTour team, they effectively competed at the highest level available in the sport - seventeen of the twenty-four UCI World Ranking events invited the team, including all three Grand Tours.

The 2010 season for Danish professional cycling team Team Saxo Bank began in January with the Tour Down Under and ended in October at the Japan Cup. As a UCI ProTour team, they were automatically invited and obliged to attend every event in the ProTour.

The 2010 Tour of Qatar was the ninth edition of the Tour of Qatar cycling stage race. It was rated as a 2.1 event on the UCI Asia Tour, and was held from 7 February to 12 February 2010, in Qatar. The race was won by Wouter Mol of Vacansoleil.

The 2011 Vuelta a España was held from 20 August to 11 September. The bicycle race began in Benidorm with a team time trial and ended, as is traditional, in Madrid. The race was won by Norwegian rider Kurt Asle Arvesen of Team CSC. Italian rider Enrico Gasparotto of Team Liquigas finished second by 14 seconds with Dane Matti Breschel of Team CSC third.

The 2014 Post Danmark Rundt was a men's road bicycle race held from 6 August to 10 August 2014. It was the 24th edition of the men's stage race, which was established in 1985. The race was rated as a 2.HC event and formed part of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. The race was made up of six stages over five days and covered a total of 815 kilometres (506 mi), including an individual time trial. It featured 14 teams, including three UCI ProTeams.

The 2017 Critérium du Dauphiné was a road cycling stage race that took place between 4 and 11 June 2017. It was the 69th edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné and was the twenty-third event of the 2017 UCI World Tour.
