The FIVB World Grand Prix 2008 was a women's volleyball tournament in which 12 countries competed from 20 June to 12 July 2008. The finals were held in Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan. Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic and the United States qualified for the tournament at the 2007 Women's Pan-American Cup in Colima, Mexico. Germany, Turkey, Italy, and Poland qualified through the European Qualifying Tournament in Ankara, Turkey. China, Japan, Thailand, and Kazakhstan qualified as the best four Asian teams.

The FIVB World Grand Prix 2005 was the thirteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, which is the female equivalent of the Men's Volleyball World League. The 2005 edition was played by twelve countries from June 24 to July 18, 2005, with the final round held at the Sendai Gymnasium in Sendai, Japan. Hosts Japan and the top five ranked teams after the preliminary rounds qualified for the last round.

The FIVB World Grand Prix 2009 is a women's volleyball tournament that was played by 12 countries from 31 July to 23 August 2009. The finals were held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Brazil, United States, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico qualified for the tournament at the 2008 Women's Pan-American Cup in Mexicali and Tijuana, Mexico.

The 1994 FIVB World Grand Prix was the second edition of the women's volleyball tournament, annually arranged by FIVB. It was played by eight countries from 19 August to 11 September 1994. The final round was staged in Shanghai.

The 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament played by 16 countries from 5 to 28 August 2011. The finals were held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Macau, China. The United States won the tournament defeating 3–0 to Brazil in the gold medal match and Destinee Hooker won the MVP award.

The 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament played by 16 countries starting 8 June 2012. The finals were held at the Beilun Sports and Arts Centre in Ningbo, China.

The 2012 FIVB Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament is a qualification tournament to determine the remaining four competitor spots for Volleyball at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The event also doubles as the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament; the best three teams plus the best Asian team will compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The 2013 Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 26 July to 4 August 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams.

The 2013 Women's Junior Volleyball World Championship was held in Czech Republic, for ten days between from 21 to 30 June 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams.

The 2013 Girls' Youth European Volleyball Championship was played in Serbia and Montenegro from March 30 to April 7, 2013. The top six teams qualified for the 2013 Youth World Championship.

The 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship was the eighteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, which was hosted by Puerto Rico from 11 to 19 September 2015 in the cities of Caguas, Gurabo, Juncos and Maunabo.

The 2018 Girls' Youth South American Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Girls' Youth South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament will be held in Valledupar, Colombia from 8 to 12 July 2018.

The 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The Netherlands and Poland were dual hosts for this event.

The Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, previously the AVC Cup Women's Club Tournament, is an annual continental club volleyball competition organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in 1999 in Thailand. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively.

The final tournament was held in Netherlands and Poland from 23 September to 15 October 2022.

The 2024 Asian Women's U18 Volleyball Championship was the 15th edition of the Asian Women's U18 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international women's volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), in 2024 with the Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA), for the under–18 women's national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, from 16 to 23 June 2024.
