The intercontinental event served as a qualifier for the 2009 FIVB World Grand Prix in Tokyo, Japan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Brenda Castillo</span> Dominican Republic volleyball player

Brenda Castillo is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a libero. She was a member of the Dominican Republic national team that won fifth place in the 2012 Summer Olympics, while she was named the tournament's Best Libero. She played in the 2014 World Championship reaching also the fifth place and ranking 17th in the 2010 World Championship and the 2011 FIVB World Cup where her national team ranked eight and the 2015 FIVB World Cup, winning the Best Libero individual award and ranking in seventh place.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Niverka Marte</span> Dominican Republic volleyball player

Niverka Dharlenis Marte Frica is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic. She played the 2012 Summer Olympics with the Dominican Republic national team ranking in fifth place. She also played the 2010 and the 2014 World Championship earning the 17th place and the fifth place and the 2011 and the 2015 FIVB World Cup with her national team ranking in the eight and seventh place. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games.

The 2010 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the ninth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by eleven countries from 18–26 June 2010 in Rosarito and Tijuana, Mexico. The intercontinental event served as a qualifier for the 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix and 2010 Final Four.

The women's tournament of volleyball at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico began on October 15 and ended on October 20, when the Brazil defeated Cuba 3–2 for the gold medal. all games were held at the Pan American Volleyball Complex. The defending champions are Cuba.

The 2011 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the tenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries over July 1–9, 2011 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The top four NORCECA teams and the top two from CSV confederation, qualified for the 2012 FIVB World Grand Prix.

The 2011 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship, was held from September 12 to 17, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The winner qualified for the 2011 FIVB Women's World Cup, in Japan.

The NORCECA qualification tournament for the 2012 Women's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was held from 29 April – 5 May 2012.

The 2013 Women's Junior Volleyball World Championship was held in Czech Republic, for ten days between from 21 to 30 June 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams.

The 2013 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 23rd edition of the Women's Continental Volleyball Tournament. Nine countries competed from September 16 to September 21, 2013 in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Team USA qualified for the 2013 FIVB Women's World Grand Champions Cup in Japan, after winning the Continental Championship 3-1 to the Dominican Republic. American Kelly Murphy won the MVP Award.

The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship was held in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico, for seven days from 5 to 12 October 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament. China won the tournament and Yao Di was selected Most Valuable Player.

The 2014 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the thirteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries over June, 2014 in Mexico City, Mexico.

The volleyball competition at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games was held in Veracruz, Mexico. The tournament was scheduled to be held from 15 to 30 November at the Córdoba Arena.

The 2015 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the fourteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries over June, 2014 in Lima and Callao, Peru. The competition served as a qualifier for the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix. The United States won their fourth championship defeating 3–0 to the Dominican Republic and the American Krista Vansant won the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

The 2015 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 24th edition of the tournament, played from 27 September to 2 October 2015 in Michoacan, Mexico. The United States defeated 3-1 to the Dominican Republic to win the Continental Championship and both qualified, along with Puerto Rico and Canada, to the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier while American Nicole Fawcett earned the Most Valuable Player award.

The 2007 FIVB Girls Youth Volleyball World Championship was held in Tijuana / Mexicali, Mexico from 31 July to 11 August 2009. 16 teams participated in the tournament.

The volleyball competition at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games was held in Barranquilla, Colombia at the Humberto Perea Coliseum. The women's tournament was held from the 20 to 25 July, whilst the men's tournament was held from the 28 July to 2 August.

The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship will be the twentieth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 20 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Mexico from 12 to 21 July 2019. Mexico played hosts for this event for the fourth time.

The 2010 Girls' Youth NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the seventh edition of the bi-annual Women's Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship, played by ten countries from July 4–12, 2010 in Tijuana, Mexico. The United States defeated the Dominican Republic and qualified for the 2011 Women's Junior World Championship. The American Jane Croson won the tournament MVP.
