The 2009 Little League Philippine Series was held from April 13 to 19, 2009. The venue of the tournament was the city of Manila. 91 teams joined in the various baseball and softball age divisions of Little League. This is an annual event and winners represent Little League Philippines at the Asia Pacific Regional Tournaments held in June and July.

Calabarzon, formally known as the Southern Tagalog Mainland, is an administrative region in the Philippines, designated as Region IV-A. The region comprises five provinces: Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal; and one highly urbanized city, Lucena. The region is the most populous region in the Philippines according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, having over 16.1 million inhabitants in 2020, and is also the country's second most densely populated after the National Capital Region. The region is situated southeast of Metro Manila, and is bordered by Manila Bay to the west, Lamon Bay and the Bicol Region to the east, the Tayabas Bay and Sibuyan Sea to the south, and Central Luzon to the north. It is home to places like Mount Makiling near Los Baños, Laguna, and the Taal Volcano in Batangas.
Southern Tagalog, designated as Region IV, was an administrative region in the Philippines that comprised the current regions of Calabarzon and Mimaropa, the province of Aurora of Central Luzon, and several cities of Metro Manila. The name remains as a cultural-geographical region only, which exempts Aurora.
Tagaytay, officially the City of Tagaytay, is a 2nd class component city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 85,330 people.
The South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), signed as E2 of the Philippine expressway network and R-3 of the Metro Manila arterial road network, is a limited-access toll expressway that connects Metro Manila to the provinces in the Calabarzon region on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The expressway has a length of 46.9 km, traveling from its northern terminus at the Magallanes Interchange in Makati to its southern terminus at Santo Tomas, Batangas, connecting it to the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road. A portion of the expressway from the Magallanes Interchange to the Calamba Exit is part of Asian Highway 26 of the Asian highway network.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association – South, established in 1999, is a regional athletic association for colleges and universities in the National Capital Region and Calabarzon regions in the Philippines. The Marikina Valley Fault System, also known as the Valley Fault System (VFS), is a dominantly right-lateral strike-slip fault system in Luzon, Philippines. It extends from Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan in the north and runs through the provinces of Rizal, and the Metro Manila cities of Quezon, Marikina, Pasig, Makati, Taguig and Muntinlupa, and the provinces of Cavite and Laguna that ends in Canlubang.
Miss Philippines Earth 2010 was the 10th edition of the Miss Philippines Earth pageant. It was held on April 24, 2010, at the Aquatica, Manila Ocean Park, Manila, Philippines. Miss Philippines Earth 2009 Sandra Seifert crowned Kris Psyche Resus from Infanta as her successor and represented the Philippines in the international Miss Earth 2010 beauty pageant, was held in Vietnam.
The Philippine expressway network, also known as the High Standard Highway Network, is a controlled-access highway network managed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) which consists of all expressways and regional high standard highways in the Philippines.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Calabarzon is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus reached Calabarzon on March 7, 2020, when the first case of the disease was confirmed in Rizal. All provinces in the region has confirmed cases. As of October 19, 2021, the region has 486,176 confirmed cases, with 5,048 deaths.
These are term limited and retiring members of the House of Representatives of the Philippines during the 18th Congress of the Philippines, who cannot or would not run in the 2022 elections.
