The 2009 Hockey Junior World Cup was the ninth tournament of the Hockey Junior World Cup. The tournament was co-hosted in both Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Singapore from June 7 to June 21, 2009. It was contested by 20 teams with Germany defeating Netherlands in the final to claim their fifth Junior World Cup title.

Teams

The teams were announced by the International Hockey Federation on November 12, 2008. [1] The teams listed are sorted by the ranking obtained in each qualification tournament. The FIH released the pools on January 26, 2009, and the schedule on February 2, 2009. [2] [3]

The 2011 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy, officially known as the Owen G Glenn FIH Men's Champions Trophy, was the 33rd edition of the Champions Trophy men's field hockey tournament. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed India as the host country, and announced New Delhi as the host city on February 4, 2011. The tournament dates were December 3 to December 11, 2011. However, on September 6, 2011, the FIH announced that India would no longer host the tournament due to a governance issue, and announced Auckland, New Zealand as the new host on September 13, 2011 with the same time schedule. The tournament was held at North Harbour Hockey Stadium.

The 2001 Men's Intercontinental Cup was a qualifier for the 2002 Men's Hockey World Cup. It was held between 17–29 July 2001 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Argentina won the tournament after defeating Spain 5–4 in the final. Alongside Poland, Belgium, India, Japan and New Zealand, these seven teams qualified for the World Cup.

The 1982 Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup was the 2nd edition of the Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the triennial men's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 14 to 28 August 1982.

The 2023 Men's Junior AHF Cup is the sixth edition of the Men's Junior AHF Cup, the qualification tournament for the Men's Hockey Junior Asia Cup organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.
