Floorball Indoor team sport

Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. The 2006 Rink Hockey European Championship was the 47th edition of the Rink Hockey European Championship, the biennial european rink hockey competition. The competition took place in Monza, Italy in the Pallazo dello Sport, also known as Pala Candy, from July 16 to July 22. Spain won the competition for the 13th time, beating Switzerland 2-0 in the final. Portugal took the 3rd place after beating 5-4 the hosts, Italy. This competition was part of the Euro Roller Games 2006, that also featured the European Championships of roller skating and artistic roller skating.

Kontinental Hockey League Russia-based professional ice hockey league

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Belarus (1), China (1), Finland (1), Latvia (1), Kazakhstan (1), and Russia (18) for a total of 23. It is widely considered to be the premier professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia, and second in the world behind the National Hockey League. The KHL has the third-highest average attendance in Europe with 6,121 spectators per game in the regular season, and the highest total attendance in Europe with 5.32 million spectators in the regular season.

The 2007 Rink Hockey World Championship was the 38th edition of the Rink Hockey World Championship, being held between 16 and 23 June 2007, in Montreux, Switzerland. It was disputed by 16 countries and it watched Spain achieving his 13th title, after an 8–1 win over Switzerland, in the final. The event marked the first time Switzerland reached the final of the most important international roller hockey competition. It also marked the worst performance ever for Portugal, with a disappointing 6th place.

Ice hockey in Africa

There are a number of indoor ice rinks in African countries that are used for ice hockey. Enthusiasts have formed national teams in several countries and an inaugural African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for 2009. The first African Nations Cup of Ice Hockey was planned for South Africa between 19–26 September 2009. The matches of the championship were to be played at the ice rink of "Festival Shopping Centre" in Kempton Park. The competing countries were to be South Africa, Morocco and Algeria. However, the tournament was postponed due to lack of response from the invited countries and never played.

2010 FIRS Womens Roller Hockey World Cup

The 2010 FIRS Women's Roller Hockey World Cup or Alcobendas 2010 was the 10th edition of the CIRH Women's World Cup. It was held in September and October 2010 in Alcobendas, Spain.

The 2012 FIRS B-World Cup was the 15th edition of the Roller Hockey B World Championship,. This is an Official competition organized by CIRH. The competition was hosted in Canelones, Uruguay from 24 November to 1 December.

The 2011 FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup U-20 was the 5th edition of the FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup U-20. It was held in September 2011 in Barcelos.

Gustavo Nieves Campello is a Spanish T12/B2 Paralympic athlete. Losing his vision suddenly at 17, he left the sport of football for athletics. He first raced competitively in 1998 Vigo half marathon. He went on to compete at IPC European and World Championships. He also competed at the 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Paralympics, but did not medal in any of these Games.

The 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round was the second round of qualification for the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament. The 27 teams advancing from the first qualification round plus Spain, who received a bye to the elite round, were distributed into seven groups of four teams, with one of the teams in each group hosting all six matches in a round-robin format. The seven group-winning teams qualified automatically for the final tournament in Hungary.

The 2019 IHF Men's Junior World Championship (under-21) was the 22nd edition of the tournament, held from 16 to 28 July 2019 in Vigo and Pontevedra, Spain. It was the second time that Spain stage the competition, and the fifteenth time that it was held in Europe.
