The Mozambique national roller hockey team is the national team representing Mozambique in roller hockey competitions. The team has appeared at the FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup several times. Roller hockey has remained popular in Mozambique from its introduction during the colonial era by the Portuguese.
Mozambique earned a fourth-place finish in the 2011 FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup A Class Championships, the highest ever finish for an African country. The team has had success in the B Class Championships several times, earning a gold medal in 2006 and bronze medals in 1986, 1992 and 1998.
The Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports was the world governing body for roller sports, including skateboarding, rink hockey, inline hockey, inline speed skating, inline alpine, downhill, roller derby, roller freestyle, inline freestyle, aggressive inline skating, inline figure skating and artistic roller skating. It was established in April 1924 in Montreux, Switzerland by two Swiss sportsmen, Fred Renkewitz and Otto Myer, who had close connections to the International Olympic Committee.
USA Roller Sports (USARS), formerly the United States Amateur Confederation of Roller Skating, is the national governing body of competitive roller sports in the United States. It is recognized by the International Roller Sports Federation (FIRS) and the United States Olympic Committee.
Roller inline hockey, or inline hockey is a variant of hockey played on a hard, smooth surface, with players using inline skates to move and hockey sticks to shoot a hard, plastic puck into their opponent's goal to score points. The sport is a very fast-paced and free-flowing game and is considered a contact sport, but body checking is prohibited. There are five players including the goalkeeper from each team on the rink at a time, while teams normally consist of 16 players. There are professional leagues, one of which is the National Roller Hockey League (NRHL). While it is not a contact sport, there are exceptions, i.e. the NRHL involves fighting.
The World Skate Roller Hockey World Cup is the international championship for roller hockey organized by World Skate. The first event was held in 1936, in the city of Stuttgart. Since 1989, the World Championship tournament is held every two years on the odd years. Until 2017, it was organized by the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports. As of 2019, following the merge between the FIRS and the International Skateboarding Federation, the World Cup is now an event of the larger World Roller Games.
The Women's Roller Hockey World Cup is a competition between the best female national teams in the World. It takes place every two years and it was organized by the FIRS until its integration into World Skate.

The Roller Hockey Asian Championship is a roller hockey competition with the national teams of Asian countries that happens every two years. It is organized by CARS, Confederation of Asia Roller Sports. The last Tournament happening was the 15th Asian Roller hockey Championship in Hefei, China.
The Rink Hockey American Championship or CSP Copa America is a Rink Hockey competition with the national teams of American countries that happens every four years. It is organized by CSP, South American Federation of Rink Hockey.
The 2011 FIRS Men's Roller Hockey World Cup was the 40th edition of the FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup. It was held in September 2011 in San Juan, Argentina. This was the fifth FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup organized in the province of San Juan.
The Australia men's national inline hockey team represents Australia in international inline hockey competitions. They are controlled by Ice Hockey Australia for events organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation and by Skate Australia for events organised by the International Roller Sports Federation. Australia plays in Division I of the IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship and Group C at the FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships.
The 2010 FIRS Men's Inline Hockey World Championships was the 16th FIRS Men's Inline Hockey World Championships, an annual international inline hockey tournament organised by the International Roller Sports Federation. It took place between 12 and 17 July 2010 in Beroun, Czech Republic. The United States team was the defending champion, having won the previous two championships.

The Argentina men national roller hockey team is the national team side of Argentina at international roller hockey. It is part of FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup and CSP Copa America. In men Argentina won 5 World Cups and the only roller hockey tournament in the Olympic Games history, Barcelona 1992, and the women of Argentina won five World Cups.

The national team has captured five world championships. Canada has enjoyed 14 podium finishes in the FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships from 2002 to 2017. The first tournament without a podium finish took place in 2007.
Alyssa Baldin is an elite women's ice hockey player who has also competed for the Canada women's national inline hockey team. With regards to Baldin's women's ice hockey career, she has competed at the university level in both the NCAA and CIS. Acquired by the Toronto Furies in the 2013 CWHL Draft, she would capture the Clarkson Cup in 2014.
Michelle Bonello is a women's ice hockey player who has also competed for the Canada women's national inline hockey team, having participated at seven FIRS Inline Hockey World Championships With regards to Bonello's women's ice hockey career, she has competed at the university level with the Mercyhurst Lakers women's ice hockey program in the NCAA. Acquired by the Toronto Furies in the 2010 CWHL Draft, the first in league history, she would capture the Clarkson Cup in 2014.
World Skate is the only governing body in the world for all sports performed on skating wheels. The organisation is the successor of the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports (FIRS) founded on the 21 of April 1924.
