Umeå University is a public research university located in Umeå, in the mid-northern region of Sweden. The university was founded in 1965 and is the fifth oldest within Sweden's present borders.

The Workers' Party is a democratic socialist political party in Sweden. It was founded in 2010, when almost the entire Västerbotten County section of the Socialist Justice Party (RS) broke off ahead of the 2010 general election. It adopted the name Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna, enhetslista för jobb - mot nedskärningar for its party list. In early 2011, it was renamed the more Workers' Party. It currently holds two seats in the municipal assembly of Umeå. The Workers' Party publishes the New Workers' Journal.
