Coaching staff

Head coach

The head coach was Eric Hehman, [2] who was in his first season as the head coach of the Pioneers. Hehman had been the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville College for five years. [3] He was hired to replace Mike Gardner who resigned to take the head coaching position for the Tabor Bluejays in Hillsboro, Kansas. [4]

Patrick Carl Shurmur is an American football coach who serves as co-Offensive Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to joining the staff at CU, he most recently served as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL) from 2020 to 2021. A 32-year coaching veteran, Shurmur has 21 seasons of NFL experience, including the last 11 years as a head coach or offensive coordinator. Shurmur has four years of experience as a head coach, working in that role with the New York Giants from 2018 to 2019 and with the Cleveland Browns from 2011 to 2012. He also served as interim head coach for Philadelphia Eagles at the end of the 2015 season. He has been an offensive coordinator for seven seasons, previously coaching in that role with the Minnesota Vikings (2016–2017), Philadelphia Eagles (2013–2015) and the St. Louis Rams (2009–2010).

Matthew Edward Patricia is an American football coach who is the de facto defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served 15 non-consecutive seasons as an assistant coach with the New England Patriots, including six seasons as the team's defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2017. Patricia won three Super Bowls with the Patriots, two as defensive coordinator, and presided over a defense in 2016 that led the league in fewest points allowed. He also served as the Patriots' offensive playcaller in 2022.

The 1998 South Carolina Gamecocks football team represented the University of South Carolina in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Gamecocks were led by head coach Brad Scott and played their home games in Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. Scott was fired following the end of the season, but was quickly hired as an assistant coach by Clemson. Lou Holtz was subsequently hired as South Carolina's new head coach.

Mike Sherman was the 28th head coach for the Texas A&M Aggies football team, which represents Texas A&M University in NCAA Division I FBS college football. He was the head coach since his appointment in November 2007 until being fired December 1, 2011. Sherman replaced Dennis Franchione.

Eric Hehman is an American college football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Olivet Nazarene University from 2016 to 2022. Hehman served as the head football coach at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois from 2005 to 2009 and at Malone University in Canton, Ohio from 2010 to 2015.

The 2010 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Derek Dooley who was in his first season as the 22nd coach in UT football history. The Vols played their home games at Neyland Stadium and competed in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. The Vols played seven home games this season. Derek Dooley won his coaching debut with the Vols 50–0 versus Tennessee-Martin on September 4, 2010, in front of 99,123 at Neyland Stadium.

Jim O'Neil is an American football coach who most recently was the defensive coordinator at Northwestern University. He has previously been a coach in the NFL for the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders. He was a coach for numerous college football teams before that.

Michael Fredrick Denbrock is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator at the University of Notre Dame. He has previously coached at Illinois State, Grand Valley State, Stanford, Washington, Indiana State, Cincinnati, and LSU. He also coached in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Buffalo Destroyers.

The Bethel Royals football program represents Bethel University of Arden Hills, Minnesota in college football. Bethel competes at the NCAA Division III level as members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). The head coach of the Royals is Steve Johnson, who has held the position since 1989.

Fred Thomas is an American football coach and former player. He was the seventh and final head coach for the Malone Pioneers in Canton, Ohio from 2015 to 2018. After the announcement of the conclusion of the football program at Malone, Thomas became an assistant football coach for the Mount Union Purple Raiders in Alliance, Ohio beginning in the 2019 season. He had previously served as an assistant coach at Malone for the 2015 season.

Kirk Ciarrocca is an American college football coach. He is the offensive coordinator at Rutgers University. He has previously served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota and Penn State University.

Brad X. McCaslin is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the defensive tackles coach at the University at Buffalo. He was previously head coach at Benedictine University, and a long-time assistant at the University of Nebraska Omaha prior to the discontinuance of football at that institution after the 2010 season. He also spent four seasons as a defensive coordinator under Chris Creighton at Drake University and Eastern Michigan University.
