The 2010 Pan Am Para-Badminton Championships (Portuguese : Campeonato Pan-Americano de Para-Badminton 2010) was the inaugural edition of the Pan American Para-Badminton Championships. The tournament was held simultaneously with the 2010 Pan Am Badminton Championships from 21 to 24 October at the Clube Curitibano Gymnasium in Curitiba, Brazil. [1] [2]

Contents

Only the men's events were held. Brazil finished on top of the medal table with 5 gold medals, four silver medals and 9 bronze medals. [3]

Ygor Coelho de Oliveira is a Brazilian badminton player. He won the Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships six times in the boys' singles and four times in the mixed doubles event with Lohaynny Vicente. Oliveira placed 27th in the world junior ranking and went on to compete at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Puerto Rico International in the men's singles event. The XX 2016 Pan Am Badminton Championships were held in Campinas, Brazil, between 28 April and 1 May 2016.

The XXI 2017 Pan Am Badminton Championships were held as two events in different counties. From 16 to 19 February, the team event was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From 27 to 30 April, the individual event was held in Havana, Cuba.
