The 2010 SEABA Championship for Women is the qualifying tournament for Southeast Asia Basketball Association at the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship for Women. The tournament was held in Manila, Philippines from October 24 to October 29. [1]

Contents

The Philippines swept all of their assignments en route to their maiden championship title and avenged their loss to the defending champions Thailand at the 2007 SEABA Championship for Women.

The 2013 FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the intercontinental championship for basketball organized by FIBA Asia that served as the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. The tournament was held from August 1–11 in Metro Manila, Philippines. Beirut, Lebanon was supposed to host the tournament but the hosting rights was given to the Philippines citing the Syrian Civil War and security concerns in the Middle East in general. This was also the last Asian Championships that served as the qualifying round for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, as a qualifying window was used starting 2019.

The 2014 SEABA Under-18 Championship was the qualifying tournament for Southeast Asia Basketball Association at the 2014 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship. The tournament was the ninth edition and was held in Tawau, in Sabah, Malaysia from May 5 to 7. The top two teams represented SEABA in the 2014 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship.

The 11th Southeast Asia Basketball Association Championship was the qualifying tournament for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship. It also served as a regional championship involving Southeast Asian basketball teams. It was held on 27 April to 1 May 2015 in Singapore. The three best teams at the end of the single round-robin tournament qualified for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship which was held in Changsha, Hunan, China from 23 September to 3 October 2015.

Almond Pineda Vosotros is a Filipino professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). In 2018, he signed with Mono Thewphaingarm of the GSB Thailand Basketball Super League. After the season ended, he signed with PEA of the Thailand Basketball League.

Merenciana "Ewon" Arayi is a Filipino former basketball player, who has served as the longest-tenured player and team captain of the Philippines women's national basketball team since the SEABA Championships in 2007. She is also the founder and president of the pioneering women's basketball league in the Philippines, the Pinay Ballers League and a member of Athletes in Action Christian ministry.

The 12th Southeast Asia Basketball Association Championship was the qualifying tournament for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup. It also served as a regional championship involving Southeast Asian basketball teams. It was held from 12 to 18 May 2017 in the Philippines.

The 2017 SEABA Under-16 Championship was the qualifying tournament for Southeast Asia Basketball Association at the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship. The tournament was held in Quezon City, Philippines from May 14 to 18. The Smart Araneta Coliseum was the venue of the five-team competition, coinciding with the 2017 SEABA Championship.
