Bernard Lagat Kenyan-born track runner competing for United States

Bernard Kipchirchir Lagat is a Kenyan-American middle and long-distance runner.

David Michael Rhys Davies is a Welsh former competitive swimmer who has represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games, and swam for Great Britain at Summer Olympics, world championships and European championships, winning medals in each of those major international championships. Davies specialises in long-distance freestyle events. Lopez Lomong South Sudanese-born American track and field athlete

Lopez Lomong is a South Sudanese-born American track and field athlete. Lomong, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, came to the United States at the age of 16 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007.

The men's 1500 metres event was part of the track and field athletics programme at the 1924 Summer Olympics. The competition was held on Wednesday, July 9, 1924 and on Thursday, July 10, 1924. As for all other races the track was 500 metres in circumference. Forty middle distance runners from 20 nations competed.

The Men's 1,500m event at the 2010 South American Games was held on March 22 at 18:10.

The 2012 European Aquatics Championships were held from 14–27 May 2012 in Debrecen, Hungary and Eindhoven, Netherlands.
