2012 CEV European League

The 2012 Men's European Volleyball League was the ninth edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which featured men's national volleyball teams from ten European countries. A preliminary league round was played from May 24 to June 24, and the final four tournament, which was held at Ankara, Turkey.

Contents

During the league round, competing nations were drawn into two pools of five teams, and every team hosted a tournament with three other teams and played a round-robin system over three days. Every team played at four tournaments and one standings table was used, combined with all five tournaments. The Pool winners and runners-up qualified for the final four round, joining the host team. The Netherlands defeated Turkey 3–2 in the final. [2]

24 teams competed in the 2002 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, with two places allocated for the hosts, Argentina and the titleholder, Italy. In the qualification process for the 2002 FIVB World Championship, the Five FIVB confederations were allocated a share of the 22 remaining spots.

The CEV qualification for the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship saw member nations compete for eight places at the finals in Poland. The 2020 Boys' U18 Volleyball European Championship was the 14th edition of the Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be hosted jointly by Italy and Greece, but the latter gave up the hosting right. The tournament was held in Lecce and Marsicovetere, Italy from 5 to 13 September 2020. The top six teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship as the CEV representatives.

The 2020 Men's U20 Volleyball European Championship was the 27th edition of the Men's Junior European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. The tournament was held in Brno and Kuřim, Czech Republic from 26 September to 4 October 2020. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the CEV representatives. But with runners-up Italy hosting the 2021 U21 World Championship together with Bulgaria, 3rd place Belgium joined the field for the 2021 U21 World Championship as well.
