The fall of CPIM from West Bengal has led to a gradual decline in its memberships and seats. It's currently the ruling party of Taherpur Municipality of West Bengal.

Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Varanasi. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist paramilitary volunteer organisation. He is the longest-serving prime minister from outside the Indian National Congress.

He was the Senator representing Benue North-West Senatorial District from 2007 to 2019. He was also the Minority Leader of the Senate from June 2011 to June 2015. He served as the governor of Benue State from May 1999 to May 2007.
Charles Laceille Gifford was a United States representative from Massachusetts He was born in Cotuit on March 15, 1871. Through his father he was a descendant of Robert Pike, George Phillips, Richard Saltonstall and William Phelps, through his mother he was a descendant of John Humphrey, Thomas Hastings (colonist) and the Quaker Christopher Holder. Gifford attended the common schools and taught in Massachusetts and Connecticut from 1890 to 1900. He later engaged in the real estate business on Cape Cod as the owner of several summer cottages rented by vacationers and the operator of the Cotuit Inn. Gifford then became interested in oyster raising as president of the Cotuit Oyster Company and in cranberry farming.
