The 2013 Champion of Champions (officially the 2013 888casino Champion of Champions) was a professional non-ranking snooker tournament held between 19 and 24 November 2013 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, England. [1] This was the first time that 888casino sponsored the event, [2] which was broadcast live on ITV4. [3]
The event was last held in 1980, [4] when Doug Mountjoy won in the final 10–8 against John Virgo. [5]
Ronnie O'Sullivan won his 52nd professional title by defeating Stuart Bingham 10–8 in the final. [6] [7]

Players qualified for the event by winning important tournaments from the start of the 2012-13 season to the 2013 Indian Open. The important events included all rankings events and winners the following non-rankings events: 2012 Premier League Snooker, 2013 Masters, 2013 Players Championship Grand Final and 2013 Championship League. With only 14 different players winning one of the qualifying events, the remaining two places were allocated to the highest ranked players who had not already qualified. [9]

Ronald Antonio O'Sullivan is an English professional snooker player, and current world number one. Widely recognised as one of the most talented and accomplished players in the sport's history, he has won the World Snooker Championship seven times, a modern-era record he holds jointly with Stephen Hendry. He has also won a record eight Masters titles and eight UK Championship titles for a total of 23 Triple Crown titles, the most achieved by any player. He holds the record for the most ranking titles, with 41, and has held the top ranking position multiple times. O'Sullivan is known for ambidexterity; he is right-handed but can play with his left hand when needed.
A maximum break is the highest possible break in a single frame of snooker. A player compiles a maximum break by potting all 15 reds with 15 blacks for 120 points, followed by all six colours for a further 27 points. Compiling a maximum break is regarded as a highly significant achievement in the game of snooker, and may be compared to a nine-dart finish in darts or a 300 game in ten-pin bowling.
