The 2013 European Junior Cup was the third season of the European Junior Cup, and the first to use Honda CBR500R bikes after using KTM 690 Duke bikes in 2012.

The European Junior Cup was a motorcycling series held as a support series for the European rounds of the Superbike World Championship, hence the title. It was open to riders aged between 14–19; for 2015 the upper limit was increased to 21 for males and 23 for females, who also competed for a Women's European Cup; for 2016 the age limit for female riders was 24.

KTM 690 Duke

The KTM 690 Duke is the latest generation in KTM's line of midrange single-cylinder engine supermoto, or naked motorcycles that began with the 1994 609 cc (37.2 cu in) displacement Duke 620 or Duke I, followed by the 1998 625 cc (38.1 cu in) Duke 640 or Duke II, followed by the 654 cc (39.9 cu in) Duke III, and finally the 690 cc (42 cu in) Duke IV made since 2012. Both the Duke III and Duke IV are called the 690 Duke. The 690 Duke is the most powerful production single-cylinder motorcycle.

The series featured two female riders this year, Amélie Démoulin of France and Sabrina Paiuta of Brazil. The title was won by Jake Lewis from New Zealand. [1]

KTM 390 series

The KTM 390 Duke and KTM RC 390 are 373.2 cc (22.77 cu in) displacement single-cylinder engine motorcycles assembled by Bajaj Auto, and KTM Asia Motorcycle Manufacturing, Inc. (KAMMI) for the Austrian manufacturer KTM. It has been developed under a joint programme of Bajaj and KTM engineers. Its concept was developed in Austria, while everything else, including design and final product development, was done in India by Bajaj. The 390 Duke standard debuted at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, and went on sale in India and the Philippines in 2013 and in the US in 2015. The RC 390 was presented at EICMA the following year. After the Duke's initial release, KTM CEO Stefan Pierer announced plans to export the 390 Duke to the US for 2014. Bajaj said eventually the bike will be sold in 80 countries worldwide.

Tereza Huříková Czech biker and Olympic athlete

Tereza Huříková is a Czech professional road cyclist and mountain biker. Throughout her sporting career, she has won numerous Czech national championship titles in women's cross-country, road races and time trial, and more importantly, a prestigious gold medal in the junior time trial at the 2004 UCI World Championships. Hurikova later represented the Czech Republic, as a 20-year-old junior, at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and also rode for USC Chirio Forno d'Asolo and Česká Spořitelna MTB Cycling Teams since she turned professional in 2006. Currently, Hurikova trains and races under an exclusive, two-year sponsorship contract for Germany's Central Haibike Pro Team, along with her teammate and 2008 Olympic champion Sabine Spitz.

Mathieu van der Poel Dutch cyclist, cyclo-cross and road racing

Mathieu van der Poel is a Dutch cyclist, who currently competes in the cyclo-cross, mountain bike racing and road bicycle racing disciplines of the sport, for UCI Professional Continental team Corendon–Circus. He is best known for winning the Cyclo-cross World Championships in Tábor in 2015 and in Bogense in 2019, the Junior Road Race World Championships in Florence, Italy in 2013, and twice winning the Junior Cyclo-cross World Championships, in Koksijde, Belgium in 2012, and Louisville, USA in 2013; the first rider to win multiple titles at that level. As well as this, Van der Poel was the winner of the 2018 Dutch National Road Race Championships in Hoogerheide, as well as the 2019 editions of Dwars door Vlaanderen, the Brabantse Pijl, and the Amstel Gold Race.
